Let's hope it's not just 'highlights'. ... and that it wonāt get thrown into the bin, because the band thinks, they werenāt good enough that night.Ā They've still got several nights to perform at the O2, so maybe they will be filming or recording other shows as well.

But I bet they prefer their home town and they can rely on great audiences there. Wait and see!

Brian said on the night at the concert that was filmed, that we will hopefully be able to see it soon. Some source on Twitter said, that the plan is to release it on Netflix and / or Amazon/Prime shortly after the tour. I donāt trust sources like that, but it fits with what Brian said. And also the fact that they only filmed 1 show. Not 2 like on other occasions. Just that 1 show from start to finish. I would like that! I'd rather have a Blu-ray that I could keep, but I guess Netflix / Amazon is better than nothing. I guess, if they were planning a physical release, they'd have filmed / recorded a few shows so as to pick the best performances. Return of the Champions was all one show, right? (Discounting Imagine from Hyde Park.) EDIT: Iām not being facetious, I genuinely canāt remember.

Adam Lambert just posted this tonight on TikTok: What Freddie Mercury means to me.
If you ever wondered about that, go to His TikTok. And if you donāt have that, you can klick on this tweet to watch the video. He must have filmed it backstage, maybe today before the show?

No TSMGO last night either. Seems to pay to see them at the start of tours, as songs get dropped along the way.

Surprised it's been dropped again - it was a standout track at the show I was at. Come to think of it, they didn't play TSMGO when I saw them on the 2017 tour either.

It was the very first song that Brian and Roger ever played with Adam and it wonāt vanish from their live catalogue. Since Adam mastered this beast (his words), after he did have his problems with it sometimes more and sometimes less for some years, itās most of the time in the set. BUT itās the most demanding song to sing. Adam said, that the pure intensity can make him dizzy at times. Thatās why it is always the first one to go, if Adamās voice isnāt 100%. For now, I would bet, that TSMGO will be back.

And Freddie also knew, he would never have to sing that live on stage. And even if, they would have changed the key, like they did with other songs. Although even thatās tricky with TSMGO, because it already comprises 2,5 octaves. Thatās why most singer struggle to sing that song at all. And if they do, itās usually altered by a lot. Adam is lucky, that his vocal range fits well with all of Queenās songs, so itās even easier for him to sing them live the way they were recorded than it had been for Freddie. But TSMGO is a beast. According to Adam even BoRhap and WWTLF are easier to sing than that one. Because TSMGO ājust never stopsā. It just goes on an up and on and up. Oh, but despite that, he loves the song and the challenge to do it. So Iām not afraid that it will be gone forever.

No TSMGO last night either. Seems to pay to see them at the start of tours, as songs get dropped along the way. Very much so. Itās Late and Spread Your Wings in 2017, Machines in 2019ā¦ Thereās a difference between these 3 songs, that only appeared at one leg of a tour and TSMGO. And wasnāt Machines played for the whole leg in the US? TSMGO was played 125 times by QAL so far (according to setlist.fm) and had been part of The Rhapsody Tour from the start. Actually at (almost?) all concerts since 2018. Before that there had been a pause, after Adam had struggled with it throughout the festival tour 2016. In 2015 I had been lucky to get it at my very first show, since they only played TSMGO on 4 occasions during the European leg of their tour and this had been the very first time that year. Then they kept it only for one other show in Germany, before it was dumped, when Adam became sick and they even had to cancel the gig in Brussels. After that, TSMGO only reappeared some time later in that tour for the gig in the Wembley Arena (and the gig before that in Poland), which was professionally filmed. Earlier than that, the TSMGO was also played at all concerts 2012 and at their first US tour 2014. Since that song has always been part of their set, I still donāt fear, that it will be gone for long. But of course itās always a bummer, when one of your favourite songs isnāt played at the show youāre going to.

I was there. š Adam also messed up Now I'm Here and wasn't there a bit of a false start to Radio Ga Ga, which they covered up almost seamlessly? What a fantastic show though, and TSMGO was brought back! The visuals were absolutely spectacular, to the point that you could be distracted from the fact that you are actually in the same room as these wonderful people. Some of the standout moments for me were A Kind Of Magic, with the stunning cinematic display, and WWTLF, in which Adam was awesome. Brian's Maybe It's Because I'm A Londoner was a lovely touch, and I was also surprised to hear the full intro to Bohemian Rhapsody, even if it was a taped re-recording (was it?). I was doubtful about going, hence I didn't mention it before, but I'm so glad I did. That was probably one of the best shows I've seen in my lifetime.

I think he has really grown into the āroleā for want of a better word. When I first heard him sing with Queen he was too theatrical for my liking but I saw them at the Isle of Wight festival by sneaking in with a borrowed wristband (I live there) and gave them a second chance. He has only improved since then. I was right at the front of the B stage last night (and to the left of it on Tuesday) and was interested in the amount of on stage communications between them all - so when Adam got CLTCL wrong and Roger found it hilarious there was a lot of smirking, eye contact etc that wordlessly bought them back on track. No wonder they have endured so long - the professionalism is tip top. Thinking of going back for a third bite of the cherry on Monday. You never know when it will be the last time.

Also yes - there were a couple of other stumbles which were not really noticeable. But no guitar problems like there were on Tuesday.

I used to live on the Isle of Wight when I was a kid. I was actually there when Jimi Hendrix performed, but was too young to go and see him, and probably hadn't even heard of him when I was about six years old! So, do you travel up for every show you've been to? That's some commitment. I find even driving up from Sussex to be a chore, but last night was well worth the effort, and as you say, we don't know how much longer this show will go on. One other thing to mention, I thought Roger was in particularly good voice, and he nailed IILWMC pretty well. It was nice to see him and Brian getting the biggest cheer during the bows right at the end, but the whole band were exceptional. With regards the mistakes, I'm actually quite pleased they happened, as they make 'your' show something unique. I'm sure everyone feels the same on the shows they go to, but I did feel that last night was something special.

We made a little short break of it so not too much commitment!
I agree about the mistakes and changes etc - if nothing else it goes to prove they are performing live!

Oh, yes, the little mistakes. Donāt they happen at every show? The salt in the soup, even if Brian might hate them. Hereās one from last week in Birmingham. Adam was in the dark, when he started singing We Are The Champions and was later singing... āI`ve done my sentence... and I found my spotlight...ā š We had that problem some years ago in Europe, when Adam stayed in the dark for a good portion of the encore until a crew member came on stage and fumbled under Adamās then golden cloak until he had to take it off, so that the antennas could work. š Since then it`s known that Adam and Brian both wear antennas in their clothes. These antennas direct the spotlights. But unfortunately this can fail at times. It`s rarethough. This time someone reacted fast enough and just put on the lights above the B-stage.

I hope the mistakes are genuine and not baked in. Last night's seemed unplanned to me. You don't come on stage and forget the lines to the first verse of the opening song deliberately. Also last night, in one the early songs, Adam walked towards Brian on that front walkway, and totally blocked Brian from the video feed. I really hope there's going to be a DVD / Bluray of this, as it would be a shame if it was limited to some sort of butchered 'Highlights' on Netflix or Amazon.

The mistakes are genuine. You donāt just pose like a king in your regal golden coat, wave like the Queen into the audience - and start with the wrong verse of WWRY. Thatās the only time I remember, that Adam and the band started a song again. The situation had been really funny in the hindsight. I think that must have been 2019 or 2018. In November 2017 Adam struggled suddenly with BoRhap. He mixed up the words in the second verse, jumping into the first verse at both of my shows in Prague and Munich and it was visible, how much he hated that and struggled to find the end to the second verse... a problem, if you sang the wrong line somewhere in the middle. But most of the audience didnāt seem to notice. Or they just sang the correct lines. But it really took Adam 3 nights until he got it right, although he knew he had that problem. By the 4th show of that tour, he had it and I havenāt seen him singing it wrong after that. in 2016 in Asia it had been The Show Must Go On. At first it had been minor lyric flubbs, but they didnāt vanish and after a couple of concerts there had been that one time, he had been so lost in the song, that he even sang it wrong with the rest of the band repeating the correct chorus. He found back into the song after that, but if I had been in the audience there, I would have liked them to do the song again. The next night, Adam stayed in front of the teleprompter and then he had it. After that short tour with these struggles, the TSMGO vanished from the setlist for the next 1-2 years. Itās a live show and with all the lyrics in Queen songs, itās only human to not get every line correct. Freddie was the same and Iām sure every live singer does mistakes. Adam just goes on with the song and sometimes the lyrics that he makes up are quite funny. I remember Roger laughing quite a lot at one point they did I Want It All... but thatās really some years ago. Maybe 2015...

Talking about difficulties: A couple of days ago they had some technical difficulties. Hereās Adam talking jokingly about needing new ear drums (Is that the correct English word for these ear pieces?), while some helpers are changing them for him. He also sounds a bit hoarse, so his voice wasnāt in its best shape. That must have been the reason for dropping The Show Must Go On that night.
