I was surprised to see this so soon anyway. Who else has released a concert recording in any format before the tour has ended? It does seem like a rush job, maybe to capitalise on the momentum of the tour, but perhaps more so that they wanted to do the Q&A thing before they all go their separate ways?

I believe is to catch the momentum, with YT videos around, it is good marketing idea to make a professional live film and gain money. Also I believe that, they are going to do another US, Japan - S. Korea Tour along with one or two gigs in UK, what will be the excuse? Maybe an studio EP or something else. That's for 2023.

Props where props is due;
Not much time for overdub/ fixing from the time of recording to what is already a finished product.

My idea is as follows: - I think they wanted to do a Q&A thinking that someone was going to ask Brian or Roger about the new single coming out in September. So what I think they will do is to announce it for a date, September 5th for example. If I remember correctly I think that Freddie's birthday party is on the 3rd and 4th, so the most normal thing would be that they would do an exclusive Face it Alone at the party. Once the single is released I think they will announce The Miracle box set. -------------------------- For this is what makes the most sense to do the Q&A, apart from being able to promote the collaboration with Adam a little more.

The questions are moderated, so if they were "worried" about being asked something they didn't want to talk about, they could easily avoid it.
Plus, it would be a bit odd to use one product launch as an announcement of a different one... IMO

I believe things is simplier, this release was due for 2019-20 due to covid, postponed tour etc, everything changed. The Miracle album is not well known in wide public, only in the generation who was 15-16 years old in 1989, now in their 50s-60s. It was big in Europe back then. Now only IWIA is well known. So to create an interest and some fuss a new song is needed. Face it alone has the potential to be a good new single. If it was The Game, ANATO, Jazz, ADATR, the release could have been like NOTW boxset. Only Highlander original soundtrack, if ever is going to be released, it will have different promotion.

Off topic, but for the record: Van Halen released "Live:Right here, right now" while the tour was still running. The first edition even included a raffle: Backstage Passes were hidden in a very limited quantity of the first edition of the CD.

Anyway, if any of you is worried about this being a one-time thing, I know a guy who knows a guy who guarantees OBS Studio (which is free) can be rather practical to record a streaming. Sites can't detect they're being recorded and block it. I have OBS studio and quite often I get a blank screen when trying to record video streams: almost as if it does detect something on a site which blocks it from working. Same with screencastomatic, incl the paid version.

quite an amazing film!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup, that was a good show! I had the chat on the laptop and the concert cast to my TV, so I only glanced at the chat occasionally and it didn't have much of an effect on the experience. Still, it was a novel experience and I did feel more "connected" than I would have if I was watching a physical release instead. Not something I would necessarily seek out in the future, though. I would be interested in watching a stream like this again if the show was truly live-streamed and not pre-recorded. Kiswe has done truly live-streamed concerts before.

This proves that the 'on demand thing' would apply to QAL pretty good. Why not make some experiments? BTW, I feel that now, Live Arround the World is crap, seeing todays quality (in terms of performance, stage, hi def...etc).

It was my first chance to peek at a gig from this tour in its entirety. Cheers, Ogre-

Anything interesting in the qA? I loved it. Very interesting and sometimes entertaining questions. Like this one from the newest teaser. I hope, they will put the whole Q&A on their YT channel soon.

Anything interesting in the qA? When asked about possible future tours, Roger said "The show must go on" and Brian, if I recall correctly, said they need some rest for now, as this tour was very exhausting. A japanese lady appeared and said she gave a toy koto to the band back in the early '70s and asked Brian if that was the one he used for The Prophet's Song. He said he thinks it was the one she gave them, which he played in the transition into Love of My Life. Cheers, Ogre-

question for anyone who were in the audience the night they shot this;
are there any edits?
also; the way the film is produced makes it sounds like a fairly subdued audience. Is this an audio mix issue, or was the crowd less engaged than what other videos from the tour suggest?

I noticed these little edits: Adam’s little funny intro before Killer Queen with the changing of the colours of the stage backdrop is missing here. They just star5 with the song. Also the pauses are shorter, like when Brian walks towards the B-Stage after I Want It All. About the crowd: It’s obviously louder, when you’re right among the crowd and taking a video, so the YT videos will have louder audiences. I don’t think this crowd was less into it than the other nights. The producers probably wanted to focus on the music first. For me it’s okay. I do have the sing along on my own videos.

so it seems like a deliberate choice from the production team....I have to say; it takes away some of the energy that happens when an audience meets a band. judging from the stream, it's a well produced audio track, but for my taste it lacks audience energy.
If I recall correctly, the opposite happened with QPR in Sheffield 2005; the crowd was apparently not the best on the tour, and yet the recording gives a different impression.

I haven't yet got around to watching the stream but I'm curious to know if it includes the full show, or is it basically just an extended highlights film?

You never know with a Queen release, sometimes it can be edited to death so I'm glad this one seems to be pretty much the whole thing.

I honestly cannot believe that they wouldn't put this out on a physical format. But it's Queen Productions, so who knows. Don't wanna flood the market.
