Inspired by the release of Q+AL Live Around the World, I've wondered if Queen would ever re-visit a similar package with the original lineup. I know they did a similar release with Live Killers, but focused specifically on that tour, but I wonder what a "Greatest Live Hits" type release would look like.
So, I compiled, only from official releases, a set-list that I'd really enjoy:
Flash (Bowl) The Hero (Bowl) We Will Rock You - Fast (Bowl) Tie Your Mother Down (Live Magic) Seven Seas of Rhye (Live Magic) Play The Game (Montreal) Somebody To Love (Montreal) Killer Queen (Montreal) I'm In Love With My Car (Montreal) Fat Bottomed Girls (Paris) Now I'm Here (Hammersmith '75) Dragon Attack (Bowl) Save Me (Montreal) Love Of My Life (Live Killers) '39 (Live Killers) Keep Yourself Alive (Rainbow '74) Under Pressure (Budapest) Don't Stop Me Now (Live Killers) Spread Your Wings (Live Killers) Brighton Rock (Live Killers) Liar (Rainbow '74) Another One Bites The Dust (Wembley) I Want To Break Free (Wembley) Bohemian Rhapsody (Live Aid) Radio Ga Ga (Live Aid) Hammer To Fall (Live Aid) Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Live Aid) We Will Rock You (Live Aid) We Are The Champions (Live Aid) God Save The Queen (Budapest)
I like this track listing. I had to cut some songs short and there is a definitive change in sound quality (ie, Live Magic, Live Killers compared to the newer releases) but that's okay for something fun.
I wonder what song versions everyone else would include?

If they were going to do that, I'd like some performances that hadn't been released before. Otherwise, it's yet another rehash.

The Who did a fan club membership-only live album, View From a Backstage Pass, that was mostly unreleased stuff; though heavily bootlegged, it was still great to have in pretty decent quality. I always felt that Queen could do something similar, though I like the OP's idea of it flowing more like a concert.

I'd only be interested if it was a compilation of rare performances. I don't want to see recycled hits material...AGAIN.
Actually, come to think of it, why bother with a new live compilation? How about they go in and do what they should have done in 2011. Remaster Live Killers. And don't stop there. Expand on the album into a deluxe box set with added rarities and a Blu-ray disc with rare concert moments caught on film.

I wish they did a Live Killers boxset with the Paris, Tokyo and whatever they have in the multitracks.

I like that! It's a pretty nice idea.
A new kind of "Rare Live" with a focus on songs that have not been played and recorded very often. Releasing them on their own would be pointless but in a set things might look different.

Do you or anyone else know why the album was called "Live Killers" when it was recorded during the "Crazy Tour" for the album "Jazz"

What if they were to remaster both Live Killers and Live Magic together. It would present an opportunity to release whatever footage they have available from Knebworth. Make it a complete package from both decades.

Do you or anyone else know why the album was called "Live Killers" when it was recorded during the "Crazy Tour" for the album "Jazz" logical marketing really. back in the old days, live LPs were seen as a distinct entity to any LP a tour would be promoting. if a band linked a live LP to the current LP it could actually reduce potential sales when "buyers" see it as live version of something they've recently bought. hence, Live LPs were given catchy titles to affirm the LP being a live recording: Frampton Comes Alive Kiss Alive I & II Deep Purple- Made in Japan Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous UFO - Strangers In The Night Rainbow - On Stage Rush - All The World's A Stage / Exit Stage Left Simon & Garfunkel - In Concert In Central Park U2 - Under A Blood Red Sky Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More From The Road Iron Maiden - Live After Death

Yet another reason to have QP to release a concert that period! Yes the Concert For Kampuchea at Hammersmith Odeon they did after the Crazy Tour - Boxing Day '79 - was brilliant. Have the bootleg video so it was shot and recorded. Jim Jenkins, long-time officianado, says that this period Queen were at their live best.
