According to GregSynthBootlegs, he was sent a box containing about 200 TAPES, and as of now, 30 of them are upgrades. This is the list I was given about how many are upgrades:

Very interesting!
I guess it are not just upgrades but in some cases alternate sources.
Given the current sound of Saarbrücken 79 I can't imagine any upgrade sounding "incredible", unless it's an alternate source of course.
Some truly great shows in that list!

Included are 1st Paris show from Live Killers Tour (27 February) and San Diego from ADATR 1977 Tour (5 March, next show after the Inglewood show which we got this year from JEMS)

There have been a lot of mislabelled/fake Paris recordings, but this is the first time the San Diego date has been seen.

I think it is B Quality now! It went from F tier to like B- to B tier. Very listenable now, instead of the guys just talking over the band. |

I do hope there's a significant upgrade for the second Leiden 86 show. Freddie's voice was so clean and powerful during those first few Magic shows

That's actually Source 2. It sounds marginally better, but whether it's an actual upgrade or simply down to the EQ is questionable. And regardless, it still doesn't sound as good as my matrix (not to toot my own horn of course.) But the 5/11/78 sample I've heard is definitely better than what's currently out there. Almost certainly a gen closer to the master. |

It's actually a phasing issue that makes the existing copy sound so off. Isolate the right channel and it sounds about the same as this.

I am particularly curious about the Berlin 78 recording. If the Leiden 12/6 tape is source 1, then hopefully it is finally clean, without the errors during LOML.
I would also be interested in whether there is a clean, complete stereo version of Frankfurt 80 among the tapes.

Those were won by someone in our circle and they went through them on Christmas day. Everything was as we expected. 2/27 was actually 2/28, and San Diego was actually Seattle. |
