I think he's been unwell for a while, but I'm surprised that no one else has taken up the mantle. This place has done more in a week than they have in years!

I think someone create a brand new database like the QZ Concert Database. Maybe not now but next month... i'm not able to do that, not an expert of excel, sorry.

I think we need to migrate some important threads from the "other board" to this one. John S. Stuart and Sebastian's threads in particular. i like this idea. i'm thinking - how about this: we create a "sub" in the Queen general? and call it "QZ - Migrated" then, anyone finds anything suitable for location, they can paste a link, we'll go grab it and "sticky" - as it's own thread? Just a thought, but is it allowable to copy stuff from QZ? I'm just thinking there's been quite a bit of an overhaul on data protection and privacy recently. It might be wise to bear in mind GDPR compliance. I guess it would be fine for a member here to copy their own posts from QZ, as I believe the person who makes a post on a forum 'owns' it, but we might need to be careful copying data on behalf of others without permission. Not sure how things would stand with regards JSS, as he is deceased, but just thought this was worth mentioning.

i think if we can get the OP's permission, or get them to post their stuff here - it should be fine.
I suspect that many of the OPs will be over here so we can PM them - or they can transfer the stuff themselves. the others? we'd need to PM via QZ.
i'd love to have Fatty's Diaries over here - i have a copy of most of them somewhere, but the permission thing is the issue.

once something is in the "QZ Migrated" sub, i'd suggest we use a listing convention - say something like this: [Migrated] - QZ Thread Title - OP Date - Thread Creator Name also, i think that, it'd make sense that only staff can "create" a thread, but we'll set the permissions for anyone to reply? Or maybe even call it 'QZ Archived'? Up to you, works either way -Chin

I had completely missed this thread, but glad I found it before I posted a similar one. I was just thinking earlier about JSS and Seb's work and would hate to think of it as becoming lost if QZ really did fall to f**K and ended up pulled altogether.
