Is there a worse Queen song used in a TV commercial? At best, this song is the epitome for mediocrity by Queen.

I found it so strange when I heard that song on TV. Incidentally as little as I rate the song (I Go Crazy would’ve been a better track 2) I felt it worked well in the context.

Anything with reworked lyrics, so..
Another one drives a Duster (Dacia) was pretty bad, but the absolute nadir was Flash cleaning products absolutely butchering Flash.
...and we know they must have had permission to do so.

I think anything with I Want It All because it removes the entire point of the song. The song is a working class anthem and commercials have reduced it to quick consumerism.

I’ve been enjoying hearing Tear it Up. Between it and I Want it All in the Verizon(?) ads it’s nice hearing a little bit of Queen throughout the weekend while watching sports. Especially an unexpected song like Tear it Up!
edit- forgot about IWTBF in the Doritos ads that also seem to be in heavy rotation at the moment!

Not a bad song. iwbtly is great
Besides the uncanny cg mouth, it's pretty entertaining seeing Freddie sing about Cup Noodles.

Freddie has finally got his teeth fixed and he still sounds the same :-) Frightening to think about what can be done now with AI. Nice ad though.

In case anyone's wondering, that's Gary Mullen doing Freddie's voice for the commercial. It was part of a series that included one with Jamiroquai and another with Bon Jovi. |
