Just caught Mercury chasing Venus right after sunset here in São Paulo. Tomorrow I'll attempt to catch Venus chasing Mercury around the same time, after the conjunction. Used a 350x60mm telescope with 3x Barrow lens + 25mm eyepiece with my phone attached. Phone was on auto-settings (shame, shame, shame...) f/1.7, 1/30s exposure, ISO 3072, with some curves adjustments on Photoshop to make the sky blue again rather than weird and brown-ish.

Too many clouds and too little luck today.

Wonderful! I didn't actually go outside, but I think it was too cloudy to have seen anything from here.

Great pics. It was too early for me, and it might have been overcast at that time where I am.

Well done. Its been foggy here all day, I'm not convinced we'd have noticed a 2 hour total eclipse...

Wow, impressive shots. I especially like the bird captured in the last shot.

Definitely not my greatest picture, but I'm happy I managed to capture Saturn for the first time last night! It was a real pain because I couldn't keep my phone camera focused into the telescope for more than a couple of seconds for every attempt, so I had a real hard time trying to find decent manual settings. The auto settings kept getting flooded with light and making it all blurry. This was the most decent-ish pic in some 50+ attempts. On one hand it kinda sucks because through the telescope you could see the rings actually shining - I'm legit impressed by how shiny they look on an amateur telescope - while here they're more like a longitudinal blur along the planet. On the other hand, this pic seems to have caught the planet's color better than my "live" sight on the telescope, where it was too bright and looked more like a big white LED. The settings that resulted in this pic were f/1.7, 1/13 seconds, ISO12800.

^^ Not bad. I posted here last year that I have pics of a planetary conjunction featuring Mars, Venus and Jupiter which took place in 1991. I was hoping to post them here but I had some 'technical issues' when trying to take fairly decent pics of the snapshots with my phone.

Looks good! Sadly, more intermittent cloud cover last night. Jupiter is starting to look pretty good, though!

[Canon 200d / Irix Firefly 15mm F/2.4]I've been through all of my images and managed to find a couple containing some Perseids (looks as my camera wasn't pointed in the "wrong part of the sky" all of the time. [Canon 200d / Irix Firefly 15mm F/2.4]Finally, we had a little Perseids Watch in the garden on night last week...zero gravity chairs gazing at the sky (no cricked necks!). I also set the Allsky camera to record and luckily captured a couple more Perseids. [Allsky Setup: Zwo 178mcs, Sharpcap 3.2]

Amazing shots! I've seen about 10-15 Perseids in total I hadn't really seen a meteor before so it was amazing to see, didn't get any shots of them however

Thanks for sharing your images Brenski! Also, thanks for the schedule of upcoming sky shows. We have a meteorologist on my local station who is a sky watcher and she often posts "what to watch for" lists so between the two of you I stand a chance of seeing something. What is a zero gravity chair? I'm sure that's a dumb question but I don't mind. Neck issues are important to me.

OK, thanks. It just looks like what I would call a lawn chair unless it rocks. it will tilt right back to flat, but you can also "lock" it in position anywhere between 90-180 degrees.

I read that as Hedgehogs and was thinking WTF?! 😁 But yeah, Devon roads are not the most user friendly. I had cousins there, and when I visited, he used to terrify me with the speed he drove around the narrow lanes!

Here in Cornwall, the problem is idiot tourists who are so scared of a leaf brushing the paintwork of their 4x4 that they drive in the middle of the road and brake in terror at every bend.
That's a really nice pic though.

Black Wings Chief Mouse ThomasQuinn jon_innuendo HelloDelilah Chopin1995 pg emrabt The Real Wizard Lord Fickle Raf katydyd5 ted CuppaJosetup the Allsky [Zwo 178mcs] out for an hour or two last night. sometimes, we hit lucky - other times we hit exceedingly lucky. below is the result of 250+ stacked images: I've somehow managed to capture an early visitor from the Orionids Meteor Shower (the dust/debris from the tail of Halley's Comet) [Oct 1st - Nov 6th, peak 21 Oct] - (see centre left) It's rare, but possible that these can appear during the last week of Sept. The radiant point from the capture and Heavens Above website confirm it was an Orionid.
