EDIT: If you wish to post setlists for Roger's current tour, please use THIS THREAD, and do not post spoilers in the thread below. Thanks - LF. 🙂 From the new Record Collector mag... “... And I have an album now, which I would hope to be bringing out in the next few months. It’s very nice actually to suddenly realise ‘Oh blimey, we’ve got an album here’ when it’s kind of unexpected. I think when you have enough tracks that you think are good enough to make a body of work that makes any kind of sense”

The last one I definitely would not describe as a coherent body of work.
But, most of the others had some really good stuff on.
I just hope it can be fitted into the busy release schedule....

He said the exact same thing around the time he released "Journey's End" or maybe "Gangsters Are Running This World". I'm hopeful that, since there's no touring, he'll get to work on it and actually release the album this year.
Not to be pessimistic, but in the same page he says that he hasn't been able to work in his own studio for a while now. We'll see...

I've thought Roger's writing has gotten consistently better as he's aged, and I loved Fun On Earth and his random smattering of singles from 2017 onward, so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

I thought it was Brian that said he can’t get into his studio, but Roger that has been spending a lot of lockdown in his (hence the new solo album)?

Not a bad year if we get Roger's new album and BTTL remastered. Just unbelievable that there aren't any actual Queen releases lined up for the band's 50th anniversary.

Looking forward to this, Fun On Earth was a treat, and his one-off singles have been stellar. I’d even say Journeys End is one of his best compositions ever.

That's the best Queen-related artwork I've seen since Made In Heaven at least! I really like (most of) Roger's solo work, so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

It is very nice to have new songs from Roger. It seems that, he is with the good aesthetics, album covers, videos etc on the other hand is Brian kitch outputs (his books are exeption).

I liked Roger's earlier solo work more than his later stuff but that's just me. Nice to have some new tunes to have a listen to though.

Outsider appears on pre order on all the typical streaming platforms. The cover is also here, I like it, something different, nos just Roger's face as it used to be on previous records. There will be 12 tracks, and acording to iTunes one of them will be 'Purple Version' of Gangster, so, from the 12 tracks, I could imagine that 4 of them are: Journey's End, two versions of Gangsters, and Isolation. And it seems that the running time of the record is 47 minutes. www.amazon.co.uk/Outsider-Roger-Taylor/dp/B09641K9G2/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=roger+taylor+outsider&qid=1622528075&sr=8-1It seems like there will be even featured one cover from 1965 song, my guess is that will be People Get Ready (he sang it live with Jeff Beck in 2011).

Hardly 'dates across the UK' if he can't be arsed coming to Scotland. I'll let the chip on my shoulder settle before deciding if I want to head to Newcastle.
Boo!!
