I think this is a point that shouldn't be censored in raising - totally valid point TBH and as I work in this industry and have been out of work since this all began its a horrid situation. Fingers crossed by October venues can be open to full capacity. We don't want to go too far into a political rabbit hole, but in your view, does opening venues "without capacity limits" mean all venues, or only those up to a certain capacity, particularly indoors? I just wonder if a venue the size of Shepherd's Bush would be one thing, but cramming 20,000 people into the O2 would be seen differently?

Fingers crossed by October venues can be open to full capacity. there isn't a problem with discussing the opening/reopening of venues etc. the rule breach is the politicising of the discussion. the phrase used: "UK Govt are purposely flip-flopping with restrictions and dates to their own ends."is a political one - (particularly the first four and last four words), and political views/comments are not allowed here.

It’s as simple as promoters not taking the financial risk of putting on productions in venues that can’t have full capacity. Just not financially viable,

Let's hope this will be the best-documented Roger tour so far (or ever?) ... great opportunity for some audience video recordings ! Yay, a sea of phones in the air, with people reaching up to use the digital zoom 'feature'. 99% of footage will be in portrait orientation. Grumpy old git <---- save you the time You're absolutely right, of course ... I used to record gigs unobtrusively on a lovely little Panasonic compact with optical zoom lens, quite successfully too. Then the phone thing started - some people even use their iPads, if you can imagine that !

Imagine it? Seen it.
The temptation to accidentally spill one's drink in that direction can be quite strong.

“Oh whoops I tripped and accidentally knocked your gigantic iPad to the ground and stomped on it into a million pieces and ground every last shard into sand so sorry” ...or, alternatively, stand directly in front of the iPadee and jump up and down at regular intervals - so all the lens picks up are wildly gesticulating silhouettes. of course, the sabotage would not be complete without shouting at 10-second intervals "property of Queen* Productions"* insert relevant band name here

folks, when you get tickets, please confirm in the following thread only: Roger Taylor Live 2021 - Who's Going Wherei've relocated some ticket confirmations from this thread already, but please try an post in the right place, as it'll make potential meetups easy to co-ordinate. btw Cardiff, Nottingham, Bexhill & Shepherd's Bush are already showing potential for meetups

It should be, If I can read it correctly: 1. I know ... 2. Absolutely Anything 3. Outsider 4. Gangsters (Are Running This World) 5. Gangsters (Are Running This World - Purple Version) 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Journey's End (?)
11. Formentera (?)
12.
It doesn't match well with early Amazon preview which stated track 3 (long day's journey into night ...Life) could be the subtitle of Outsider or other standalone song + add Isolation + add one promised 1965 cover and you have pretty good picture of what you might expect from the album

He's doing another cover? He's quite good at that.
There will be 14 tracks total, with the Japanese edition bonus tracks and whatnot.

Yeah, you're right, forgot two "Japanese" tracks... But just for the case of avoiding my own possible future disappointment, I predict they will be just remixes or instrumental tracks (Journey's end instrumental or Tonight/Revelation' mixes, released only on vinyl single in 2017). If there will be some new tracks instead of it, I i will be happy. The album so far looks like just like a compilation of previously relased singles we all know...

With some luck, the known tracks will somehow be different in the album (much like The Unblinking Eye was). We might also get a couple different extra versions / b-sides if he releases any kind of single, although that's more unlikely these days I think.

Doesn't track 5 start with a J? Jungle something?
Nobody's going to put two versions of the same song sequentially on an album....

There’s definitely two Gangsters there, but below his arm looks like the start of “jungle”.

Looks like there's a copy of the Platinum Collection on the shelf. I wonder what other CDs he has handy in that room?

The urge to photoshop Man in the Shadows into his CD collection is overwhelming...

Looking again at the band lineup - this may well be the most solid ensemble Roger has ever put together:
Spike Edney Tyler Warren Jason Falloon Angie Pollock - Goldfrapp touring keyboardist Charlie Jones - ditto, and played with Page/Plant in the '90s

Angie Pollock will be on backing vocals. Ah okay, I'm not sure of the others' vocal abilities, but Tyler will obviously be a very strong backing vocalist too. Can't say Spike impresses me too much vocally.

You didn't hear this from me, but there are plans afoot for a special one off appearance by Joan Armatrading on October 14th in Plymouth. They are tenatively planning to do one of her songs and one Roger/Queen song. (Don't Lose Your Head?)

Never heard of that one before. Where did you get that info from? Was she supposed to sing the song or was it written for her as a dedication?
