Chopin1995 reply#2 I got the information from one of my friends who was in the same forum, they got the infos from Roger's diary (he said the band did their first ever rehearsal at I.C.) also this site said their first rehearsal was on April 28th at Imperial College, these are the best available sources to say the pics are from that date

queenlizzyfan1973 reply#3 Thanks. Also Brian posted one of the photos on Instagram some time ago and wrote "I think this was taken at our very first rehearsal in a lecture theatre in Mech Eng that I booked - at Imperial College. Bri"

1968/10/24 {Imperial College?}
I remember I read this somewhere that the pic was taken at Imperial College duirng Oct 68 with Brian's dad on left, when he was getting his Phd for astronomy. I'm not very sure about the information.
EDIT: the pic was taken 2 days before Smile's first ever concert at Imperial College. Brian gets his diploma that day not Phd/ Source: "An Intimate Biography Of Freddie Mercury" book

Testa Grigia is not in Switzerland, but on the Italian side of the Monte Rosa Massif. The correct location of this photo is the Osservatorio della Testa Grigia (Testa Grigia Observatory) and it is in Italy, in the region of Valle d'Aosta.

Also, behind Brian there is a sign written in Italian language.
