These photos were posted by Christian Vaughn Clark on his tiktok. He is the grandson of the former hairdresser and assistant to Queen and Elton John. He found the negatives and has developed them. Are they in Japan 1976? deathtoming

Are they in Japan 1976? deathtoming Japan's a good guess since there's a guy wearing a blazer with what looks like the old Japan Airlines logo, but someone on Twitter used that ceiling to identify it as the airport in Honolulu.

Were these taken on the same day ? Same drum kit and attire, but different background. Was it a green screen type situation ?

1974-12-02 Munich, Schwabylon Building by Tom Schmid where did you find the date? great quality tho Someone uploaded it on Instagram, obviously in worse quality and cropped. I found this photo in this quality on the official website of something, I can't remember exactly, and strangely enough I'm unable to find it again. There was a story from the photographer describing the procedure of taking this photo, and about Queen in general. Nothing new that needed to be mentioned.

most likely yes, 2 mimed performances were filmed that day, black screen with cubes footage is available on youtube but the blue screen one is not, some sources even claim the tape of that is either wiped or lost.

Date: 1974-05-?? Location: Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, USA Venue: WFIL Radio station Photographer: unknown Queen at WFIL Radio station in Lafayette Hill (near Philadelphia) with Elektra regional chief Joe Baltzel, Jay Cook of WFIL Radio, David Geffen (at the time president of Elektra Records) and others. The correct date of the photo is unknown: Queen were in Pennsylvania from 1st May to 3rd May 1974, when they performed three gigs in Harrisburg, Allentown and Wilkes Barre. Since Allentown is only 48 miles from Lafayette Hill, it is possible that Queen visited the radio on 2nd May 1974 before performing at Agricultural Hall.

WFIL is not far from where I live – I drive by it when I go to the grocery store – and its history is fascinating (at least to me). Interesting how it went from a major league radio station in the 60s and 70s in the heart of Philly to a Christian station broadcasting out of what looks like someone's shed next to a hoity-toity country club.
