'Monaco' is 'Munich' in Italian. 'Monaco' also means 'Monaco' in Italian, so they usually tell them apart (as far as I know) as 'Monaco di Baviera' (Munich from Bavaria) and 'Principato di Monaco' (Principality of Monaco), but of course in everyday parlance they simply go with 'Monaco' (just like many people go with 'Holland' for 'Netherlands' or 'Xerox' for 'photocopy machine').
I suppose what they mean is that there's a video of him speaking of his experience working with Queen.

There actually is a few sheets from recording sessions, dated August 9th, 1977, and some documentation dated from August 22nd - August 26th, 1977, September 1st - September 2nd, September 4th, 1977. I'm afraid I didn't get to download the documentation. I don't want to be a pain and ask you to re-upload, so I'll just bother you with this question: were those sessions at Wessex or Basing Street? Ta! we.tl/t-PAnELsmvxB Wessex most likely, most of the recording in July, and mastering from September 5th - 16th, took place as Basing I’m fairly sure.

The wetransfer link still works if you copy/paste the url. It appended a suffix to the link for some reason.
In other news - I love this thread.

Queen did perform a live show at Peterborough on August 17th, 1973. I wonder, could this have been a day of no recording? Peterborough is only an hour and fifty minute drive from London, and they must have had to been there by 6:00pm, for sound check, since the show was at 7:00pm, which means they would have had to leave at 4:00pm. Queen’s regular shift was about 2:30pm - 11:00pm predominantly. So they could have had a morning / early afternoon session. They certainly wouldn’t have recorded after arriving back from Peterborough at about 3:30am, but Queen have almost done that before on August 27th, 1977, when they returned to Wessex at 1:00am to continue mixing, from the known existence of the WATC copy-mix, they could have been working on that then, but anyways, enough of my tangent. It would be certainly ridiculous to have a recording session at 4:00am, but Queen have done that before with the previous album’s sessions, according to the member’s accounts of the sessions. But the concert did end a bit early I think. Some other acts and contributors to the gig erupted into fights with others and town hall got flooded, because someone must have turned on the fire hose in the town hall. Anyway, what do you guys think about this? Evidence: Note: I’m pretty sure “New Single “Keep Yourself Alive” would immediately give the fact it’s 1973 away. Also, just looking at a calendar to see that August 17th, 1973 is a Friday is enough too.
They could've easily taken a day off of recording to play the gig, or just worked at 4am because they were young and full of excitement for recording all their new ideas with properly allotted studio time. Pulling an occasional all nighter isn't out of the question for young, focused guys in their 20s.
Either way, they had played eight gigs in the past 18 months, so of course they weren't going to turn it down, especially being marketed as headliners. And if they lost a day of recording for it, so be it.

I pull a lot of all nighters to work on music as well, so it wouldn’t be too ridiculous.
