Thanks! Quite a noticeable pitch increase!

Thanks! Quite a noticeable pitch increase! That could just be the turntable playing a bit faster than 33 1/3 rpm, not necessarily the LP itself.
But to lose that end guitar solo is criminal !

It could be, but I understood that he was saying that only that track (not the whole album) was pitched up. I think I can get ahold of the cassette tape.

It's a travesty if the speed of Peruvian version is correct. Bloody hell.

It's a travesty if the speed of Peruvian version is correct. Bloody hell. Even Roger's box set from a few years back had his first two albums playing back too slowly.
It actually happens pretty often for all kinds of (entirely avoidable) reasons.

Still wander why they done the Explosive version of Innuendo lol. I've also wondered this too, and what is the song they're playing in the background at the very end of the explosion?

So it's shorter! Thanks for the information. Welcome. In fact, the song is sped up and has an earlier fade out. Here you can hear it: youtu.be/D-mb1N6KWGEIt sounds like the entire band took a large quantity of Peruvian before recording this, if you catch my drift.

Some more thoughts: Queen II side 2 - looks like those are dB markings, as they're trying to get the levels right. And with the given date of 1-19-74, it looks like it took another month or so to sort it all out. The March 9, 1974 Sounds has Freddie saying they'd finished the work on the album "three weeks ago," but of course the interview could've been a month old at that point. There is a “latest” pressing of Queen II out there dated February 20th, 1974, so they possibly could have done some work on it between that period. Probably just to level out the audio to an up to par sound.

I’m pretty sure Sikke took this picture.
