Not my vid. Thought the guitar solo was a bit ‘flat’ First night nerves? Rog sounded great, though. 👍

Plenty up now on YouTube - reckon by the end of the tour we'll be able to piece together our own Live recording

SPOILER!!! ROGER TAYLOR LIVE IN NEWCASTLE 02-10-2021 Strange Frontier Tenement Funster We're All Just To Trying Get By Under Pressure These Are The Days Of Our Lives Up Gangsters Are Running This World A Nation Of Haircuts A Kind Of Magic Absolutely Anything Surrender Man On Fire Rock It Say It's Not True I'm In Love With My Car Outsider More Kicks Drums Battle Foreign Sand Radio Ga Ga Rock'n'Roll Heroes via Queen Forever Blog and Thomas Zeidler "Rock It" is going to be sang by Tyler, apparently. "Heroes" will from tape (most probably Bowie's original version). Set list looks good but no songs from "Fun In Space" -HUGELY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THIS!- (neither from "Happiness?", if "Foreign Sand" now counts as taken from the new album). IMHO the most surprising one is "Surrender". It was a single and already performed during the EF gigs, etc but wasn't expecting it anyway. "Up" is a big surprise too, but that had already been spoiled by RT himself. I agree, the lack of anything at all from Fun in Space is really disappointing, I still thinks it's his strongest album by far. The likes of Laugh or Cry, Good Times are Now and maybe even No Violins would have been great to hear live. Surprised by how strong Roger's voice is, I had assumed the down-the-phone effect he so favours now on record was because he was less secure with it. Agree with other posters that the guitar is lacklustre.

Unfortunately you’ll have to listen to my dodgy singing too…. Not sure how I’ll share them? Probably put em up on my YouTube

What time did the Newcastle concert actually start? Attending Manchester tonight and want to avoid standing about for ages. Ticket says 7pm but I’m assuming it’s more like 8pm or later. Cheers

Queues to get in started about half 5. No autographs either going in or coming out. I took my youngest daughter, we turned up at about 7:20 and were almost touching the barriers at the front, so why people bother with waiting in the rain is a mystery.

Took my son, was his first ever gig… We got there about 7.50, and just managed to grab a beer before it started. I thought it was gonna be busier if I’m honest, but we managed to get within 20 feet of the stage so were well happy

Anyone know who ended up in the band in the end? [...] and another keyboard/violinist/singer, Asian girl, fantastic voice, [...] Unfortunately there was no programmes so….. The keyboard/violinist/singer is Christina "Tina" Hizon, aka TNA. Nothing Roger-related on her Instagram www.instagram.com/tnakeys/?hl=en or website www.christinahizon.com/ at this point.

From that video Roger's voice is pretty good, but the band seemed to be plodding.

Seen a few videos now and has anyone else noticed a weird reverb on the drums, which makes Tyler sound he's playing slightly too fast. Roger sounded great. Not sure about the guitarist, he seemed to struggle with a few solos. Didn't like the female vocal on Surrender, Treana Morris nailed the original and subsequent live versions of it.
It's a shame Roger's binned his old EF live band because they were shit hot.

And what's with tour merchandise ? Anything interesting there? I heard that there is no tour programme, so I don't expect anything than what it's on the official shop - t-shirts, bags, maybe drumsticks.

Any changes to the set list or same as Newcastle? According to setlist.fm, 'A Nation Of Haircuts' has been dropped. IMHO, neither 'Up' or 'Absolutely Anything' work well live. I'd wish they were replaced by 'Let's Get Crazy' and 'Laugh Or Cry' respectively.

I'd wish they were replaced by 'Let's Get Crazy' and 'Laugh Or Cry' respectively. I thought Up worked really well last night, a total change of tempo from the rest of the set…. I agree about Absolutely Anything, although it’s one of my favourite songs on the album

Watching the vid posted and maybe that isn't a good way to check - but Up seemed to work quite well. Absolutely Anything was fine but I wouldn't mind seeing it drop.

Haircuts was in Manchester set list.
Thought Up worked really well.
Yes I’ll share - just need to get it off the phone. Give me a couple of days.
I’ll stick it up in its raw format - so if anyone wants to add their magic to it ( EQ / split tracks etc) feel free but keep the lineage as per forum rules.
