Hi all,
I recently picked up a copy of the USA 12” Promo of Hammer To Fall. There is a hype sticker that reads “Live performance video on MTV” — am I to assume that they are just referring to the regular music video for Hammer To Fall?
On QueenVault, it reads the B-Side as the following:
Hammer To Fall (MTV Video Version) 3:46 This appeared as a B-side to a US 12" promo vinyl. The audio is the exact same as the original video version. Crowd noises can be heard at the beginning, end, and mixed sporadically throughout; other than that, the audio is the same as the single edit.
I just listened to the B-Side and it’s just the regular edit version. No crowd noise at all. I’ve confirmed and compared my copy with Discogs and it’s the correct promo copy.
Am I to also assume this version does not exist then?
Thanks!

I remember getting a definite answer to this but it’s buried somewhere in a pile of notes. I think I am wrong and it does not exist on that 12”.

Thanks for confirming! Love your site. It’s my go-to source of release information. Thanks! I remember getting a definite answer to this but it’s buried somewhere in a pile of notes. I think I am wrong and it does not exist on that 12”.

Thanks. I’m hoping to update it again soon. Hard to find time these days.
