Hi folks!
Please send free art while I normalize the audio and randomly equalize this old CD.
Cheers,

My friend was in England as part of a student exchange program in high school over the summer of ā98, and when he got back to the States heād gotten me a copy of Another World, several months ahead of the US release, for my birthday.
I remember being completely whelmed with the album, and disappointed with how disjointed it sounded. Brianās singing had improved but the songs seemed so disparate that I listened to it maybe a few times before forgetting about it for years. I listened to it for each edition of my book, but rarely if ever otherwise.
Hope he does something interesting with this, but given the Back to the Light reissue (and Brianās call for artwork) Iām not optimistic.

It may not flow quite as well as Back to the Light, but there's not a single weak track on it. A lot of gorgeous tracks, namely the title track and Wilderness.

One of the albums I've listened to the most. I was probably at the peak of my fandom at this point, so a new Queen related album was JUST what I needed. At the time I loved it. 24 (!) years later, it hasn't aged that well imo. Some of the tracks have that contemporary production sound which makes it sound very dated. (the non-Cozy tracks especially!) That would definitely be a thing to change for an alternate updated version.
I just hope they're able to locate the Albert Hall film..... I find it hard to believe that Rudi Dolezal (Doro I guess) has since lost the footage

I'm really looking forward to seeing AW get a re-release. Hopefully there will be 'something' there we haven't heard before. Though, I realise I'm being VERY hopeful there. So the Albert Hall gig was filmed!?

I'm pessimistic about this. BTTL re-issue was really a low effort. It wasnt bad, it was just...meh...Nothing truly new and exiting. So why would AW be any different? Will probably just the same stuff - 2 disks with bonus tracks just single tracks.

For a start it would require some effort to get it ready, and they're certainly not going to give something like that away as a bonus disc. What I'd dearly love is a Cozy version of Cyborg, but I don't know if one was ever recorded.

Not as far as I could tell. And, I don't even think they bothered with the bonus tracks.

I love the album. Especially Cyborg. Nice to see some love for this. Not a track often mentioned, but definitely one of my BM solo favorites as well.

I agree about your global assessment of the album, and those two songs in particular which I find beautiful and deeply moving. I'm not a big fan of BTTL save for a few tracks, but AW still sounds wonderful to my ears. Of course I'm not expecting much about the re-release and couldn't care less about the art book!

Maybe the complete Paris semi-unplugged could be added? Surely they recorded the whole gig, and not just the two tracks that appeared on the Japanese EPā¦
Originally the AW album was going to be an all covers album called āHeroesā, thatās where the cover versions on the album, and some of the b-sides, stem from. Would like to hear more from those sessions

The lack of effort to locate / secure the Albert Hall film annoys me no end. As long as it hasnāt been deleted by Doro, it would be possible to obtain it. Brian even said in the RC special mag that it was shot in 3D? Canāt remember reading anything about that at the time, butā¦

Let's hope the video finally makes it to at least a DVD, or preferably a Blu-ray. With the CDs included, and remastered audio and video, that might make a nice package.

A single box set of all solo work, like with Freddie and Roger would just make sooo much sense IMHO... But no..... Somehow Im pessimistic about separate release of Brixton, coz it might not be "financially worth it enough" in the eyes of the greedy record company execs....I hope Im just being sinister and will be wrong... Also it wouldnt surprise me if at some point they will just upload some sort of remastered version to YouTube one day and thats it....

So the Albert Hall gig was filmed!? Yes was filmed but Brian had the brilliant idea to have all the seats removed from the parterre to give a ROCK touch to the evening ... Result: there seemed to be nobody there. So the video was not released

My bet: another collectors box with the Twitty Conway tracks and some live tracks which they will make a big deal about it, how hard they worked to put it together, the research to find the tracks, blah blah blah, basically nothing that was unreleased before..........
