Just the regular version, but it says 2022. Wow!! Really good spot, how did you notice that had arrived on Spotify!? To me it sounds like a much more modernly EQ’d mix. Sounds awesome!! But then again the last time I listened to AW was on a CD-Walkman!

The "sky blue" vinyl does look nice and I guess they picked that to match the sky on the cover (just as they went with the white vinyl to match the Back to the Light cover), but Another World used a lot of red so I'm surprised it's not a red vinyl. I'd imagine they'd go with blue again for Live at the Brixton Academy when that eventually gets a Gold Series release. Red for Star Fleet?
I was hoping to see more unreleased covers, as I find Brian really shines on those. Why wasn't (Marie's the Name) His Latest Flame included, by the way? Wasn't that from the Another World sessions?

As with the BTTL tracks, ‘On My Way Up’ sounds fab to my ears.

I wish this was an international thing rather than just a Japan-only edition. Do you have any pictures?

"Business Stings" is probably just the three different Frank Stubbs tunes together on one track. The press release says as much. So not really "new". I hope the other two are actually NEW songs and not just demo/alternate titles. There are three takes on Business, so probably no new songs...

The LP and 2 CD edition look both very good to me! The box set of course overpriced as everything but I'm really happy that the album comes out on standard black vinyl - better than a picture disc as the original pressing. Liked the album a lot when I heard it for the first time. B-sides are great too, especially "Hot Patootie" which reminds me a bit of "All The Way From Memphis". Both songs sound like the soundtrack of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Considering Brian has only done two true studio albums, he has done a fantastic job on both of them!
Hope the LP edition will sound good and won't come warped.
If it's not posted yet the tree is located on the island of El Hierro and it's a Sabina tree.

The Back to the Light re-issue did not sound that much better than my original CDs. Or is it me?
On My Way Up is on Apple-Music and it has much life and energy to it. Is it my imagination or does this sound much much better than the original release?

Currently there are no pictures of the bonus items or the obi, but the poster may be a replica of this: The miniature tour program for the Back to the Light Japanese release was nice, but it really is miniature as it fits in the CD digipak. The poster was good quality.

Does anyone could clarify the source of claim that 'My Boy' was recorded in 1980s (circa 1982)? Wouldn't this period make the most sense, as this is when his son was a small boy (as per the lyrics) ?

Why wasn't (Marie's the Name) His Latest Flame included, by the way? Wasn't that from the Another World sessions? It was, but the version we've heard wasn't finished. The middle 8 definitely isn't a final vocal. I have no idea how it leaked out, actually.
And even if he did want to include it, there would likely be royalty issues.

Is it my imagination or does this sound much much better than the original release? Maybe very slightly better. It's been amplified a bit, and there's been a bit of EQ to bring out some more top end. But the differences are pretty negligible.

Just reading the announcement/article on www.superdeluxeedition.com and it made me chuckle with their 'The logo from hell returns' comment 😄 I will probably go for the 2 CD edition again; a little bit more extra's I don't have or haven't heard yet. As much as I'd like to have a collector's boxset,I think this one's even more overpriced than the previous one. Even the $ 29,- promotion for the 'Back to the Light' set on Amazon a couple of weeks ago didn't win me over.

While I'm hopeful for the new tracks, I'm aware that the risk is that they're instrumental versions of existing-known tracks.
Like the Cozy Powell tracks Ride To Win and Somewhere in Time

This should have been only a sticker on the shrinkwrap! It still baffles me that it's unwillingly asymmetrical. Notice how "BRIAN" has more blank space below than "MAY". I swear, Brian did it on his phone while in the loo and it took like 5 minutes tops. While I'm hopeful for the new tracks, I'm aware that the risk is that they're instrumental versions of existing-known tracks. Like the Cozy Powell tracks Ride To Win and Somewhere in Time Expect anything at this point. That said, "Somewhere in Time" is 20 seconds longer than "Nothin' But Blue". I was meaning to make a mix a while back. "Ride To Win" is almost a minute shorter than "Resurrection" - single version, and 90 seconds shorter than the album version.

Not to be overly pessimistic but the two "unreleased" tracks are just snippets from the Frank Stubbs series I believe. "The Last Great Optimist" sounds exactly how Bri would talk about the character....I'm betting these are just the titles of the snippets passed around previously. Nice to have proper versions but nothing to get took hyped for.
I hope I'm wrong!

I’d tried not to make direct eye contact with the logo but, as a designer, when I read this I looked and now it’s all I see. Bad logo designer! Bad!

"Ride To Win" is almost a minute shorter than "Resurrection" - single version, and 90 seconds shorter than the album version. Somewhere In Time was released as Nothin But Blue Instrumenral Version as a Brian track. It's 100% the same recording though. I once made an extended version of Nothin But Blue using both, lasted 6m14s. Did the same by combining Resurrection and Ride To Win, lasted 8m40s. Ride To Win is mixed differently to Resurrection BTW and contains sections not present in Resurrection.

There are additional guitar bits at the beginning, and most notably there's an extended part (the 20 seconds difference) at 2:18.
