We all probably know about the big christmas party at Inglewood 1977 with Queen performing a one-off version of White Christmas and the huge Jailhouse Rock event. Or Brian playing Silent Night during his solo spot at the 1979 Hammersmith show as well as playing We Wish You A Merry Christmas at 2nd Birmingham and 3rd London 1980. While we do have a tape for the last show of the year on December 18th in Munich, it doesn't have any Christmas surprises, something that always kinda surprised BUT the tape is only about 65 minutes so maybe there is something we just don't know of? Let me show you my evidence apart from "they did something at other shows": 1) A statue of Santa on Freddie's piano My first piece of evidence is this statue of Santa Clause, sitting on Fred's piano as proven by different photos (as it was thought to be an edit for a while). The interesting thing is, that this little Santa wasn't there for the whole show: Like here before Save Me. Talking about Save Me (and this picture), this is my 2nd piece of evidence: As Freddie introduces the song, a groupie enters the stage (as seen on the picture above) to which Freddie says: "What is she doing here? This happens to be the last night of the tour, so all kinds of things are going to happen, I'm sure." I find it pretty interesting, that Freddie says that things are going to happen. Going to, not "might happen" or any other loose word, he chooses the words "going to". Those two things combined made me think that the missing 30-40 minutes of the show might include a small Christmas surprise, maybe during the acoustic set or at some point afterwards. What do you think?
