I thought I saw somewhere a week or so ago that Queen were rehearsing in the Bristol area but didn't know it was in this venue.
It was a proper Queen show - full production and several of the songs. The ones I've heard mentioned are Bo Rhap, WWRY, Champions, Radio Ga Ga, Tie Your Mother Down and The Show Must Go On.
This was the feature on the regional news in the area (Points West) not very long after the gig:
Imaging not knowing who it was and it turned out to be one of the biggest acts on the planet and be treated to a proper show too...
It sounds like at least part of the gig was filmed too:
Queen have barely allowed their soundchecks or rehearsals to be filmed by external crews at all (certainly not in the UK) in their 50 year history. And one of the few was in Bristol way back in '79 - a coincidence or what?!
