(I'm really sorry if i'm writing this in the wrong section)
Hello guys, it's nice to write here again for the second time. I would like to ask you an opinion, what is your favourite live version of Don't stop me now? Personally, I'm constantly wondering what's the best between Glasgow 12/1 and Hammersmith 12/26.
I'll make an analisys
Glagow 12/1: He sings part of the intro, from "I feel alive" to "And the world I'll turn it inside out" and it's quite a good attempt and the only instance of him going so far. He also gets "dont" in the second "dont stop me", which he doesnt attempt in hammersmith. He get's all the note very easily besides "about to explode" and "speed of light", he scales to an a4 while roger goes for the b4's. The first part on the recording is cut but it seems like he is going for the notes as always in this tour. He doesn't go higher in the last chorus tho (Usually freddie would go higher in the last "burning throught the sky, two hundred degrees thats why they call me.... till mr.farenheit")
Hammersmith 12/26: Last gig of the tour, I can of course understand that he got a little bit weaker. Let's analyze the live version.
He sings a good part of the intro, besides "Tonight", and the rest after "and the world", he probably doesn't sing the full intro because it's a really hard song, and he just didnt want to bother to start with such notes since that was the 15th song in a row. After the intro, he doesn't get the first "don't", and he goes for "stop me". He gets all the notes besides "about to explode (A4)" and "Speed of light (A4, but he attempts to get it in the last chorus)". In the last chorus indeed, he goes higher, let me show you
I'm burnin' through the sky, yeah - Normal notes
200 degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit - on" why they call" he goes higher, a note between A4 and B4, same on "Fahrenheit" (I don't really like it, he sounds instable and since he is going for higher notes on a line that doesnt need something like this, it sounds strange)
I'm travelling at the speed of light - "of" is a B4 and light and A4
What do you think? Let me know
