Is the problem "QOL" or Universal? I ask simply because my picture disc arrived damaged and I filled out the form on QOL only to then be taken to universals website and be dealt with by a universal employee who arranged for a replacement to be sent out. I note that the replacement has "Universal" on the return address. So I believe QOLshop is just a front - a skin if you like - and the real culprits are Universal themselves. incidentally, the faulty picture disc was posted back on Friday with a pre-paid shipping label and the replacement arrived on Sunday - 48 hours later! I personally think it is merely Universal. The QOL shop is just a front for the actual Universal shop, I think. One might wonder if things should go better once the Sony deal starts. Does Sony have their stuff in order concerning VAT etc. |

This time they are refusing to take you back the double VAT: If you can provide a receipt showing that you were charged VAT a second time for this order, we will be more than happy to issue a refund for that amount. You are responsible for any customs duties and taxes when placing your order. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. I always demand DHL price (slightly higher) as from my reasoning it is fair to ask for covering the difference between reality and what was seemingly included in the original price... But yet again, they just refund their estimation of taxes and for the Customer it is more than €10 added to total pricing. Would be much more fair to scrap VAT altogether and notice that customs may (and will) apply. So annoying. |

Did they finally learn something, or was I just plain lucky?

Just lucky I would say but well done! I received my order on Wednesday, got hit with an additional charge of €87.40 euros and was only refunded the original VAT charge of €62.24 so down €25...ah well. I was refunded within hours of sending my request for a refund though so at least that's improving.

Is insane! just two months ago I did exactly this, and they take me back the money of the VAT for the japanesse mini LPs...

Maybe I told you in your YouTube channel , but what I used to do is make the reclame through PayPal and it worked , PayPal refunded me. Try to do this if you paid with it. I don't longer buy anything in Queenonline. |

Just an update to this thread:
There have been a wide selection of helpful posts advising others how to obtain refunds. With this in mind, protracting this thread through another five pages of identical issues, appears to be counter-productive. It'll just leave folk with "even more" to dredge through to get to the info they require.
Therefore, if you need help with either
A] getting advice with a refund request, or
B] advice regarding how to question any charges you may have incurred, please:
Read through the thread and follow the guidance provided by the successful claimants or PM anyone who has had success with a refund who appears willing to advise what can/cannot be claimed back.
