My CD single just arrived. In case anyone is interested…the Karaoke version sounds like and Instrumental version. That’s what I was hoping for!

It's exactly the same as the single version but without the vocal. For all songs I prefer a pure instrumental over a version with a sudden burst of backing vocal, or an ‘ooh, ah’. Listening to Face It Alone there’s no really backing melodies or vocal, so I expected it to be an instrument. They would be much better titling the track as an instrument. Overall as an instrumental it is not that revealing. I bought it to check out the bass, which is often buried behind vocal full album mixes. I wouldn’t recommend you rush out and buy it. I kind of enjoyed buying it purely out of the joy of buying a new Queen single.
