There is a balance between the amount of subforums and activity in the main one. I feel we are threading a fine line now.

The new board is more for future news and announcements. This thread (and the Miracle one) has been running for a while so it would appear that a suitable cut off point would be when the official announcement appears.
The idea of the new board is that recent news & events can be discussed in one thread, then the threads can be suitably relocated later, rather than multiple threads being started with the same topic, then having to be merged, which is what tends to happen.
If it doesn't work we can look at it again. I get the point about having too many boards and sub-boards. Personally, I think we are OK at the moment, but we will look at things over the course of time and if certain boards are not being used we may consider combining them with other boards.

whoa! there, folks. while I'm perfectly happy to accept we may get to hear some stuff we haven't before, let's just pause for a minute and consider carefully: what is actually meant by previously unreleased/unheard? there's nothing anywhere that has actually confirmed that the "extra tracks" are not those that have been in the wild for over a decade or more, is there? unheard/unreleased is relative....do they mean by everyone? or do they mean by the general public? fact: the vast majority of the known Miracle unreleased stuff has been "out there" in some form or another for ages. if we get genuinely new stuff - then great! me? I've been a Queen fan far too long and been fooled by these kind of announcements far too often - i swore they'd never con me again, so forgive me for not buying into the anticipation until the the thing becomes a reality...or doesn't. That is a fair point, however all the miracle unreleased stuff, which was circulated for over 20 years around in different audio quality, is not Queen productions problem, some stuff was leaked by recording conventions, suspiciously leaked tapes by breaking the trust etc. So yes! whatever is out there for Queen productions and the record company is unreleased / unheard material.

... and hopefully anything we've already heard will be in better quality with the official release.

It is safe to assume we will get properly mixed and polished demos and outtakes. We do have very listenable material but it was raw and not meant for release.
Also, there's a very good chance they have explored the archive to extents they hadn't yet reached 20 years ago, so more and higher quality goodies are in order.

It makes me curious as to what the "small but dedicated production team" do at other times. Presumably they don't spend their days picking through archives of material looking for potential release material? Or do they? If that's the case, what a fantastic job!

One thing Brian doesnt's address is how much re-recording they've been doing with Roger. Did they simply wipe the dust off of the old recording and mixed it from the bits they laid down during the Miracle sessions or did they salvage Freddie's vocal takes and build a brand new version around that re-recording just about evereything else. Either way, I'm excited about FIA finally getting released.

I think if they'd been in the studio, or had recorded new bits remotely, it would have been mentioned.

But on the second disc of the Another World box set it's possible some of the parts were recorded in recent years. Certainly the vocal on one of the version of Business is much later than 1998.

I think it's very likely they have pieced together the original recording and added stuff to make it sound more finished. Like they did with Let Me In Your Heart Again.

Further putting me in the minority on most opinions on this board, adding things an rerecording things wouldn't bother me at all. In fact, I'd probably prefer they did that!

I'm ok with things being added if necessary (the definition of which might be a massive argument!), But would prefer that nothing was replaced. So, we're all on slightly different points on the same spectrum...

There is an interview with Adam Lambert in the September issue of German Rock Hard Magazine.
Asked about the new song, Adam answers that all he can say about it is, that it will be released in September
AND THAT IT WILL BE A PART OF THEIR LIVE SET.
So it seems as if futher live dates are in the making.

With no disrespect towards AL (who I've seen perform with Queen twice) I sincerely hope that be doesn't sing on the version of the track that comes out this September...

It would be great if they included some songs from the Miracle on their live repertoire. It's such a shame they've neglected The Miracle on all post-Freddie tours. I think I Want It All is the only song they've ever played from that one.
Breakthru would be great addition as it's such an energetic song. I also like The Miracle (the song) and Brian has named it as one of his favourite Queen tracks, so that one too could be included. WIAWI is also great but it's not gonna happen as they prefer to play only GH stuff...

WIAWI would definitely sound great live - but they'd probably only do half of it, up to the middle orchestra section, then segue into something else.

Strange that - apart from Brian doing IWIA - they even ignored the Miracle on their Solo Tours. WIAWI would be a Dream come true, but I think it's a really deep cut, especially since they have 5 Miracle singles to choose from + the "new" song and possiby TMLWKY if they will include it in the "Miracle campaign".

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that 2min demo of TMLWKY turned out to be one of the "segments of songs" Brian mentioned in fan club magazine interview. It will definately be included in one way or another on the upcoming Miracle box...

I don’t see them dusting off Scandal or The Invisible Man, but I could see Breakthru getting played the first three dates, The Miracle making it to five, Face It Alone half the tour, and IWIA and TMLWKY the standards. Maybe Khashoggis Ship as part of a medley, but only as part of a medley.

My point was, that surely nobody expected Machines in the setlist, and this example means to me that they still can surprise us - no matter what we guess.

I think they'll be an official announcement of the box set on Monday (Freddie's birthday) and the new single will be released on Friday after the first play on BBC Radio 2.
My reasoning is they've announced products before on Freddie's birthday and new music is released on a Friday. The new tracks on Queen Forever were debuted on a Friday in mid-September. There may be spoilers at the birthday party tonight...

Remind me again when will they premiere this? In only seven days. And then it could take a hundred or more for memories to fade.
