Not unlike Glasgow 1979's case, this has been a debate since the original tape came out, albeit less extreme as that show. I have always been a firm believer that he doesn't hit it, and it's just the member of the Royal Family that's taping the show. I think now, this proves it.
I didn't have a shred of doubt, and now I feel this debate can be put to rest.
If you somehow STILL think he did after hearing this, please explain why.

The only C5 I know about is a funny little electric car invented by Clive Sinclair.
For us non-musicists, which is the word he's supposed to hit the note on?

Wasn't this settled 4 years ago? It's resurfaced lately, especially in your comment section.

Freddie would rarely (only 4 or 5 times he EVER did it live) sing the studio phrasing of "leave me to die", and people are obsessed with finding more shows with this. As of recently, San Diego 80 was the closest we had of another C5 show.

San Diego 80 was the closest we had of another C5 show. I wouldn't say that. The only difference is that he sustains the Ab4, but the note itself isn't higher than anything he normally does, the normal phrasing is Ab4-F4-Eb4. The San Diego phrasing is just Ab4. The only time I'd say we were ever "close" to a C5 but missed, is when Freddie did Ab4-Bb4-Flat C5 (Some argue it's closer to B4, I don't.) at Liverpool 1979
