Does anyone here have the feeling too that the Instrumentals & Backing Tracks are included so that people can either make remixes of these songs or that people can filter the vocals via AI to create more fake-live versions of Queen songs that were never performed live? Now that would be a very nice and creative move. No, I don't believe they would want to encourage that sort of behaviour. 😁 The Instrumentals and Backing Tracks are probably just an easy way to create an extra disc to bolster the product and inflate the retail price. If they provided downloads for all the multitracks, that would be a different matter. Agree utterly! It always seems lazy, and it's also counter-intuitive, because the one thing nobody wants is LESS Freddie....

I'm glad if there would be a complete instrumental version of the album and probably b-sides.
Hopefully HD versions of promo videos were re-edited from scratch in real HD as it was with Freddie's solo videos 3 years ago.

Ah well, unless it’s also available on streaming, it looks like I'll be paying ~£200 just to hear ‘CD2: The Miracle Sessions & Outtakes’. Will be nice to hear the likes of I Guess We’re Falling Out and Dog With A Bone in the highest quality. I would have expected outtakes to cover at least two discs, mind you, given how productive the band seem to have been at the time.
The 72-page book may also have value, if Greg Brooks has been allowed to take a similar approach to the Freddie box, i.e. provide fairly detailed information on the recording sessions.

I actually like the instrumentals, because by this point, Freddie was playing a lot more keyboards, so it’s not like he’s going to be absent too much. But all the songs should be instrumentals, not just whatever they have laying around!
My stance has changed on this somewhat because I listened to an AI-doctored instrumental of Time To Shine and I really found myself enjoying it a lot more. There were a lot of nuances that were covered up by vocals, nuances I might have missed out on otherwise, that made me enjoy the song a lot more – and I already liked the song enough. So if that helps me appreciate The Miracle more, then I’m all for it.
On a more relevant but far more mundane note, I gave the album a spin yesterday and enjoyed it a lot more than I used to, especially Party and Khashoggis Ship, two of the biggest offenders at one time for me. It’s weird to admit after almost 30 years of familiarity with this album, but not everything needs to be so serious; these are just fun songs – a little frivolous at times, but I can’t be in a bad mood when listening to Rain Must Fall, it’s just not physically or mentally possible. I guess this is growing up, huh…?

Probably is not interesting now, but I just received the spanish magazine where Brian confirms the release of the box set, and yes, he says that they found some alternative takes and some things that never heard it before, so that's why they will be releasing that

The fact it states ‘live versions’ makes me dubious…yes, there are live versions of The Miracle tracks, but only without Freddie, and they are always very careful to avoid mixing Queen and Queen+ product.
The reference to the ‘long lost cut’ of TMLWKL is also dubious, as the version on Made In Heaven IS the exact version as recorded for The Miracle. The use of ‘cut’ as well as the general language tone is also ‘off’ for me.
However….
Apparently Greg Brooks is hinting on his Facebook page that it’s very possible real, says he can’t say anything but to ‘hang on in there’!!

Shall I call this a Pre-Review? Here's what I think about each disc:
Disc 1: I'm not expecting a Giles Martin-style remix, but it feels redundant if it's the same 2011 remaster, especially for those who may have bought the album already? Disc 2: This should be interesting. I hope they release that demo of the title track that was used in the Cohen-Jiya Remix. Disc 3: Wouldn't be surprised if it's just the bonus disc on the 2011 remaster. "Live Version" caught me by surprise though. It'll probably just be performances from the Tribute Concert, Return of The Champions, or Live In Ukraine. Disc 4: I'd like to think someone in QPL thought: "Hey, remember that time we included some instrumental mixes in The eYe? Let's bring that out again". I'm excited for the backing tracks though. Disc 5: Definitely the Queen For An Hour interview, and probably the same edit used in On Air. Disc 6&7: On one hand: Finally! Some Queen music videos in HD! On the other hand: Finally! Some cropped and stretched Queen music videos. In HD! Disc 8: Please refer to Disc 1.

Getting real HD remasters of the music videos would be nice, and not out of the realms of possibility either as the Freddie solo videos were re-scanned from the original negatives a few years ago, so they are willing to put the money in to do it. There is some evidence they've gone back to the original footage too, remember that fan convention a couple of years ago with that wonderful (almost) single camera "I want it all" take, that would suggest they've at the very least looked through the original footage for that song.
And alternative takes from "The Invisible Man" were used at The Studio Experience, suggesting the same thing.
Other footage is probably what we have all seen, the Children auditioning, Behind the scenes of scandal and Breakthrough, outtakes, making the album cover and so on, wouldn't surprise me if the interviews from these are reused on the interview disc along with Queen for an hour.
I would love to see the footage of the actual band running through the Miracle for the video shoot, but I don't think that will get released.

Yes, definitely! I also wonder if we'll see any new music videos on YouTube, as I've been surprised by how many new videos Brian and Roger have released in the last while for their solo work. If All Dead All Dead can get an official music video after the New of the World box set release, who knows what we could get with The Miracle?

The same Korean website with the early info of the box set's contents is also listing a 2-CD "Deluxe Collector's Edition" of The Miracle for an October 28, 2022 release. Disc 1 is the 2011 remaster, and Disc 2 is the same as the Bonus EP from 2011, minus The Invisible Man demo. It costs 35,800 Won after a 19% discount. From the same website, you can get the 2011 Deluxe Edition release with the Bonus EP for 24,800 Won after a 19% discount. Unless I'm missing something, you have to pay extra to not have to purchase Roger's demo. www.yes24.com/Product/Goods/107094579

- DISC 8 (LP): 180-gram 1LP vinyl featuring the 2011 Bob Ludwig master plus additional track “Too Much Love Will Kill You”, in a different version to the one that came out on ‘Made In Heaven’, creating the Original Long Lost Cut
If true, then this is what I'm looking forward to the most. And it also may explain why it took so long to sort this package out - that song entails royalty issues with other songwriters.
But the price tag of £190 is insane. Pink Floyd's Early Years box was 27 discs and it was less than double that.

The reference to the ‘long lost cut’ of TMLWKL is also dubious, as the version on Made In Heaven IS the exact version as recorded for The Miracle. I'm sure they have plenty of outtakes of virtually every song in their catalog. No doubt they could assemble a version with different guitars and vocals, like they did for the NOTW raw sessions disc.

So, what do people genuinely think about CD2: The Miracle Sessions & Outtakes
what's going into that one? with the CD 74min (max) playing time, I expect that we won't be seeing
♦ All God's People ♦ Dog With A Bone ♦I Guess We're Falling Out unreleased ♦ I Guess We're Falling Out (Brian) ♦ Too Much Love Will Kill You (unreleased version) ♦ Too Much Love Will Kill You (Freddie/Brian guide)
and we're much more likely to get: The Teaser Tape: ♦ The Miracle ♦ I Want It All ♦ The Invisible Man ♦ Scandal ♦ Too Much Love Will Kill You (snippet) and...this lot:
♦ Breakthru (drums inst) ♦ Invisible Man (early guide vocal) ♦ Invisible Man (Roger vocal) ♦ I Want It All (master inst) ♦ Khashoggi's Ship (diff lyrics demo) ♦ Party (unsegued demo) ♦ Rain Must Fall (demo version snippet) ♦ Rain Must Fall (vocal takes)
that's around 55mins.

The starting assumption has to be that they'll replicate the NOTW disc and provide one alternative per track, hasn't it?
In which case I wouldn't worry about disc capacity....

Roger mentioned finding "Dog with a bone" a few years ago and he liked it, I think the chance of it being used is very high.
The 12 minute version of stealin' and the Hang on in there fiddly jam are also likely, mainly because they take a chunk of time.
Brian seems to be very critical of his own voice so I'm fairly sure his vocal demos won't be included.
Other than that I think you are pretty spot on.

Maybe they will include,
The miracle demo which has more guitars and slightly different vocals
I want it all demo
My baby loves me
A fiddly jam
The invisible man all have been leaked.
I wish...for Face it alone takes 3-4 only snippets have been leaked from convention.
A new life is born
IGWFO
Anything that David Richard's played in Italian fan club (Affairs etc)
But I don't think I hat they are going to include unreleased songs.
About TMLWKY, I don't expect any differences only sonically, since in MIH they did some new mastering.
Dog with a bone was on a DVD with Queen messages from IQFC so maybe there is a chance, not a good song imo.

I still can't help being skeptical, and we still have nothing official. It would be great if they were to do a disc of cobbled together outtakes, like with the NOTW box, but I'm not sure I'd want to pay nearly £200 for one interesting CD.
If they have that much decent unreleased material, would they not do a Made In Heaven II type release, rather than tagging them on as extras? I'm pretty sure a basic CD of 'new' Freddie material would vastly outsell an overpriced box set, 90% of which most fans would already own.
The other odd thing is that Brian doesn't seem to have mantioned this, whereas usually he would be dropping hints here and there about "something special" coming up. I can't believe he's so focussed on his own 'Gold Series' reissues that he's ignoring a fairly major Queen release.

Am sure that the Invisible Man fanclub message will be in this set somewhere. Although my digital copy sounds ok, it would be nice to have a proper digital version of this song, not taken from a thin flexi disc.
I guess it won't be long until we get all the details. Though we are seemingly still 5 months away from its release..

Brian always refer MIH as the last album. The majority of public only cares for things that are familiar with Queen (hits), I doubt there is any interest in unreleased songs. However, if they ever try, a great producer is needed. Forever was a missed opportunity to give something interesting, no alternative versions and the MJ duet was a crap. Better a Queen stand alone version of TMBMTLTT. Now Brian wants to release his solo, since it was long out of the market and his popularity is higher than 10 years ago.

The only bonafide Queen live track from the Miracle is the bit of Chinese Torture from the guitar solo at Knebworth.

A little history on Too Much Love… www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1270656.htmlI recall the 1989 promo single for Too Much Love being advertised in Record Collector magazine. I didn’t buy it because I thought they’d officially release the single within weeks. Then they released I Want It All and Too Much Love was oddly absent on the album. On another note…regarding box sets. The Brian and Roger box sets are on my streaming service (Apple) but the News of the World is unavailable. Can anyone else listen to News of the World Raw and the other discs via their streaming services?

Around the time of The Miracle there was a promo single vinyl being sold thru the Record Collector magazine. I remember it well because when the album was released I was left wondering what happened to the song. Are you absolutely sure about this? I've never heard of that promo vinyl, and that is one of my collecting specialties there... Do you recall which Record Collector issue advertised this?
