Any info on The Miracle Box Set

Wow, we're almost there, finally.

I'm remembering that Brian wants to re-release his albums one by one, and that he prefers that to a huge one-time box that encompasses his entire career. Likewise, I want to think that QPL has a sort of plan to release anniversary version of every album as they reach their 50th instead of making boxsets, so they'd naturally block "Queen I" related content if they are getting it out soon-ish.

I mean, this would be an obvious path for QPL to follow, but who am I kidding...

... I might think that they want (a dream of mine) to publish the first album with bonuses for the 50th anniversary too, maybe in 2023 ....... (but it's just an illusion, I think)

I'm impatiently waiting for the box announcement, but what I'm even more impatient for is the release of the FACE IT ALONE single. If it is supposed to be released in September, that is to say in less than a month, can we expect the announcement this week?

Well, rather, it can be considered as an unofficial slogan for the future release of the Miracle  box set

why would they announce anything for Freddie's Birthday Party @ Casino Barriere? The Miracle is a Queen project, not a Freddie one.

The premiere of the hitherto unpublished song Queen is approaching.
Brian May and Roger Taylor in an interview with the BBC announced that a song with vocal participation of Freddie Mercury will be released in September this year. The composition is called "Face it Alone" and has never seen the light of day before. The material comes from the recording session of the Queen album "The Miracle", which was released in 1989.
33 years have passed since then.
We decided that this will be the best time to celebrate the work of one of the most popular bands in the history of rock music.
On September 4 we are organizing the Royal Day on Radio 357!
The date was not chosen by chance - it is the day before Freddie's birthday.
Before that happens, however, we invite you to vote for Top Queen!

I don't even know what to think and say about this news. Did I understand correctly that this radio station will demonstrate the FIA on September 4?

I expect Greg will say at convention that he and Kris presented 10 different versions of each song and the band chose ONE to put on a single CD, just as they did with the NOTW box.

I live in a world where Giles Martin has been remixing Beatles albums into surround sound from the original pre-bounce tapes and presenting them in boxsets along with 2-4 CDs of demos and studio outtakes AND amazing books full of text and pictures on the making of each song.

Sadly i also live in a world where QPL DON'T remix their albums into surround sound and DON'T present them in boxsets with 2-4 CDs of demos and outtakes, and instead of a book, they contain a pamphlet of photos with bugger all information about anything.
All for the same price as a Beatles Set and released by the same company (Universal).

The Beatles organisation know their market is endless and they make plenty of lucre through the general reissues etc, but they also recognise a loyal fanbase and reward them with lots and lots of rarities/demos/outtakes etc.
Queen couldn't give a shit about this and (generally) they're a money-grubbing lot who know how to squeeze a lemon dry, Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits II, Greatest Hits III, Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits.
