^ what, even that November 6th rumour that many of us have heard from different sources? Don't be so pessimistic. Oh, yeah...forgot...it's Queen  well, in any world, it's already very late for its official anniversary - May 2019. Perhaps they (QPL) have loads of irons in the fire and are intending to bestow them all on us in "machine gun speed succession"? Interesting that Roger’s kit is fully mic’d up - leads n all....they wouldn’t really have bothered for a mimed video performance? Then again, Brian doesn’t have a cable on his guitar, though could have been set up wirelessly. God I hope there was something recorded as a live performance!
They might have just been trying to replicate the feel of Magic tour set up, Little roger has the same mic set up.
There is absolutely no way to know what this was other than:
1) The stage was set up at one point so the adults could use it in a way that is not seen in the music video.
2) The music video has the Kids doing ^very^ similar things to what we see in the photos.
I have 3 theories:
1) It was a mimed run through to choreograph from
2) There was supposed to be much more cutting back and fourth between the adults and the kids, but it was decided the kids carried it themselves.
3) This was for an "Alternative Miracle" where the adults are in the majority of the video and the kids come at the end. (I think this is the most Unlikely)

Drum mics might not even be plugged into the stage boxes - could be just for asthetics. Hoping not and hoping that if it was 'live' recorded they might see the light of day at some point. Indeed - but I just wonder at why they’d bother if not all set up - even if they put mics on would they really get all the cables out too?! The ‘I Want It All’ promo video is a deliberate straight faux ‘live performance’ video but they didn’t even put mics on the kit there - same goes for ‘Scandal’ - so seems odd for this....I live in hope! They bothered to load the gong into place and that's definitely for the look of the thing. The drum mic stands would have been part of the drumset (however many flight cases that was), and evoke the Magic tour more exactly, which is presumably the intent given the set and costume |

From Greg’s Facebook: “Hi Everyone. I'm being asked about the new QAL live album a lot, and about The Miracle box, etc. Honestly... I don't know much more than anyone else. Quite frankly, I'm just getting on with my I WANT IT ALL! book and various archiving jobs, sorting out the photographic archive as well as 50 years of press reviews (which has been fascinating), and generally just getting on with all kinds of work. I don't know what's happening with The Miracle, other than it's all but finished. I couldn't tell you what the band, management or record company are planning to do with it now that the QAL live album has emerged. Release dates get moved and pushed back or forward so often these days, it's impossible to keep up.... so I invariably stop trying. There's no point in me offering dates that might come and go, and be frustrating/irritating, and it's not really my place to. I've done what I was supposed to do. I did the release date speculating thing with the IWIA book, but various unforeseen things came up and the dates changed more often that the English weather. The Miracle box will appear at some point. At this point, that's all can offer. There is so much in the planning at the moment, it's hard to keep on top of it all - for you and for me too!! We can but try!“

Thank you for the info! So it's actually done, it just needs a release date really. Such a shame it's not a priority for QPL.
No big deal though, we can always wait for The Miracle's 50th anniversary.

I do like the fact that he said there is "so much in the planning" I hope this means a bunch of quality 50th-related releases coming. Look, I don't want to be unduly negative here, but "so much in the planning" has been Greg Brooks' standard line for two decades. It doesn't mean anything, sadly. |

Since it is Fred’s birthday.. I do hope they carry on how they have been the past few years as far as announcing some sort of Queen project/release.. 9hr left in the day In the UK so Im hoping we get something!

I kind of think we've had our 'treat' for this year. From a marketing perspective, having just put out a rather successful 'new' live album, would releasing 'old' stuff to please a relatively small pocket of fans really be high on their agenda? It might even be seen by QPL as a backwards step. 😒

I have to say I'm happy with that one take clip from I Want It All sourced from the convention stream, considering I thought we would get nothing that made me really pleased. Not quite my holy grail clip mentioned earlier the n the thread, but pretty close to it in all honesty.
