That's a very short lead time for a vinyl pressing... I guess they have the slot booked, just need to provide a master to press from.
It would be entertaining if the album was 6 pre-recorded intro tapes, 6 vocal extravaganzas, and 6 tapes of GSTQ.
Sort of a BBC box set homage..

Hmmm....... Does it mean that both Live Killers and Live Magic will be remastered for the SHM format? According to the product pages, both Live Killers and Live Magic will have the 2001 remastering, and all of the live re-releases will be in cardboard sleeves (The Miracle will be in a jewel case).

They won't be relying on Poland!

When I tried ordering 10 minutes ago, there was again one copy left, so I ordered that one.... I guess I was just lucky. Now it's sold out again. So it can help to check now&then if new copies become available, it seems.

With the upcoming "Kizuna" release in January, fans in Japan could choose from songs on Rainbow, Odeon, Killers, Bowl, Live Magic, and Wembley to include on this compilation of live songs. And each one of those recordings will be reissued in SHM-CD format in January.
The only major live releases that were not available in this voting process (and hence also will not be reissued in January) were Hungarian Rhapsody and Montreal. There's some speculation tied to the IMAX announcement about the Montreal show in another thread, but what could be some reasons why these two particular releases were withheld from the voting and reissues? I think Hungarian Rhapsody only packaged CDs with DVDs or Blu-Rays, so that could be an explanation, but Montreal did have standalone CD releases.

Here's the album art for Kizuna: Inside, there will be "outtakes" from the photos used for the Live Killers album cover. I think there are three unused photos already out there... I wonder if we'll see more?

On fire and Montreal had been released on vinyl in 2004 and 2007. The on fire lps sleeves are not good quality more like printed paper... while rock montreal are on a box with great quality. Both were at reasonable price at their released date. Now their prices are very high. I wonder why Japanese fans didn't choose songs from Rainbow and Hammersmith. It seems like they ingnore their love for Queen II and Sheer heart attack albums , both very successful there with huge back catalogue sales. It seems their choices based on the big japanese tours of 79 and 82 while some live versions can bbe compare with 1985 the works tour also successful in Japan.

Guess I will in due time. Now the tricky decision. Do I can cancel the CD and hope that doesn’t go OOP, or pay twice for the extortionate postage?

CDJapan have updated the product page to say 'cancelled' rather than delayed or putting in a placeholder date. If it has been delayed rather than cancelled, I hope they retain the pre-order and post it out whenever as it took a bit of luck to get my pre-order in before they sold out.

Yup, same here. Got the cancellation from Tower Records.
That’s too bad. Always thought it was a quick turn around to get the vinyl produced and shipped out. Oh well.

Listening to the Kizuna CD right now. Not bad. Basically cuts from the 3 live albums. I'm surprised nothing was voted from Rainbow or Hammersmith (or even Live Magic over Wembley).

Got my CD + ltd poster today.
The Japanese packaging is unbeatalbe, no way. Every time I can't help but thinking they spend so much to protect their items. And the cost are always more than reasonable 10€!!!). Standing ovation.
This B2 size poster is the biggest ever received (50×71cm), and of course only from Jap releases. The print quality is good but the paper is not that thick as one could expect for a poster with that dimension.
Of course the CD features a nice classic OBI.
There are two booklets: one pressed in b&w with Japanese text and the full colour version with english text, two double page pics (Works Tour by Denis O'Regan and Live Killers by Koh Hasebe). The LK one looks like the one used for Live Killers album sleeve to me. There is also a third picture from 1979 on page 2, not credited (!).
The full Japanese booklet seems having also a couple of "words" in addition, dated 2023/6 and 2023/12 signed "MASA ITO" and by another name in Jap texting.
There are two pages of "thanks for supporting" from Queen reporting some of the names of fans who voted this playlist.
According to the liner notes the remasters of these recording are dated as 2004 (Bowl), 2001 (Killers) and 2011 (Wembley, even though the release mentioned before the lyrics reports 2003).
Classic jewel case CD container, all transparent.
There is no fade between the tracks. The 'Killer Queen' ending has a quite abrubt fade out due to the segue in Bicycle Race on Live Killers album. So, basicly every track sound like stand alone, except the unseparable pair Wwry / Watc.
As orhers have already questioned here, I can't really understand why and how among almost 7000 Japanese fans have not voted for any song from Rainbow '74 or Hammersmith '75... apart Live Magic (out of their catalogue for years now) where A Kind Of Magic would have sounded way better than Wembley.
P.S.: always loving the Japanese releases.

I just got the compilation and the mini-LP's. CQI already gave a nice review of the compilation, I thought I'd share some thoughts on the mini-LP's.
Overall, the outer and inner sleeves of all the releases look as beautiful as you would expect.
Both Live Killers and Live Magic have inner and outer sleeves and OBI's that perfectly mimic the original LP releases. And while Live Magic keeps that up down to the disc art looking like the original LP's, Live Killers disc art mimics the more recent DeAgostini vinyl releases where, instead of of the photos of the individual band members (one for each side), disc one contains a red tinted image of the cover while disc two's is green tinted.
The Bowl, Rainbow and Hammersmith releases all do a great job at replicating the covers and labels from the original UK releases. It looks like the OBI's for these three releases mimic the original Japanese CD releases.
Then there's Wembley. Like the 2004 mini-LP releases, this cover mimics the Hollywood Records CD re-release from 2003. However, while the 2004 mini-LP release made an mini-LP version of the Hollywood CD's standard jewel case artwork, this new release has a different rear cover that mimics the more recent DeAgostini vinyl release, which is basically the same rear cover as Live Magic with the Wembley tracklisting. But, while the DeAgostini vinyl release has a plain label with a black background with the album's logo at the top and tracklisiting for the side under the hole, the CD's artwork again resembles the Hollywood 2003 CD release. The OBI strip does mimic the OBI strip on the original Japan CD release from 1992. And, like 2004, I'm left wondering why this title didn't mimic the original 1992 vinyl release.
Sound-wise, these are all older masters. So, I'm sure almost everyone here has heard them.
Definitely worth picking up if you don't have them or like the mini-LP look. But, especially in the case of Live Killers, if you're looking for the closest authenticity to the original LP's, you might want to search for the 2008 release. It might not be SHM-CD. But it's a great reprint of the 2004 edition, but with an OBI strip that looks like the original Japan LP release. And it uses the same master that the 2024 release uses.

OK, so it turns out that the vinyl version will be released after all, release date 17 july 2024: www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UIJY-75269And of course, it's already sold out. Bummer! Why was there no mention of this at all on any official Queen site ?? And of course copies are already offered at eBay for bullocks prices! Hopefully there will become some more copies available at normal prices at some point.
