Hello everyone, I'm Daniel from the UK and despite being a more recent fan when compared to some others on this site I consider myself a big Queen and Queen solo fan. My favourite album by Queen would probably be A Day At The Races or Queen II and my favourite Queen solo album would probably be Back To The Light by Brian May.

Hello! I heard Queen songs throughout my life which I thought were absolute masterpieces, but I was forbidden from owning their music due to a strict religious upbringing.
Now that I've spent nearly a decade of being independent, I'm beginning to rediscover my lost "guilty pleasures" which involves listening to and learning about the great band!
Some of my favorite songs in no particular order are Somebody to Love, Liar, Ogre Battle, Spread your Wings, Killer Queen... And the list goes on.
Being a relatively new fan, I'm not sure I can contribute much, but I'm glad to be here!

Thank you all! I'll probably spend most of my time reading the forums for some golden nuggets! I really admire Queen's work and their solidarity as a band. They've been such a great inspiration, so I can't wait to learn more about them beyond the surface level. Welcome! I'm a little envious of you having all this wonderful music and history to discover and enjoy. Make yourself at home here. I never actually saw it that way! I appreciate the positive spin you put on it! I always felt it was a major inconvenience, but now I'm full of childhood wonder again.

Welcome! And oh boy do you have a lot of good stuff ahead of you! Assuming you still haven't heard some of their stuff. But by reading your fav's it sounds like you are already well on your way.

Hey everyone!
I've been a Queen fan pretty much my whole life. I can remember hearing songs on the radio in my parents' car when I was just a very little kid. The original Greatest Hits album was one of, if not, the first record in my collection because I yoinked it from my parents when I got my first record player. Much later as a teen buying records on my own I discovered Queen II & Jazz and I never looked back. To this day those are my two favourite albums. I have since made a considerable effort to get a nice collection that includes the first UK pressings of the 15 original albums on vinyl. I'm not a big fan of what Brian & Roger have been doing with Adam Lambert as of late though. I am a Freddie fan more than anything. Nice to meet you all!

Been lurking for a while, and now that I've been lucky enough to retire from work and have more time on my hands I thought it was a good opportunity I introduced myself!
Name's Mark, been a fan since I saw that fabled first Top Of The Pops SSOR appearance back in Feb 1974 at the tender age of 8 (me, not them!) and I haven't looked back since. I'd enjoyed music before, done the "hand poised over the record button on our personal cassette recorder before each new song on the Top 30 on a Sunday night" thing and all that, but it's safe to say that TOTP appearance was the thing that kick started my life-long love of music.
Lucky enough to see Queen with Freddie three times (MK Bowl, Wembley '84 and Knebworth) and have seen (and still loved) Rog and Brian many times subsequently with Paul and then Adam. ALso had the immense pleasure to meet Brian, who was an absolute gent. If only I hadn't immediately turned into a tongue-tied fanboy, haha.
Anyway, it's good to be here - seems so much friendlier than you know where ever was and I look forward to getting involved in discussions and getting to know people better :-)
