not wanting to derail the thread, yep, you're definitely missing out on one of the greatest. most folk are familiar with the hits, but there's some epic tunes lurking on the LPs Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding Heels of The Wind Little Jeannie (one of the few songs Elt contributed to, lyrically) Indian Sunset Grey seal Ego I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues - or in the early 90s catalogue. Something About The Way you Look Tonight The One and not forgetting, an absolute gem that deals with the fears of "losing fame" : This Train Don't Stop There Anymore Don't forget about "I've Seen That Movie Too" or ... Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me (original version) or ... The Ballad of Danny Bailey (1909–34)

I’m confused by the photos of the house in the latest articles. That conservatory Freddie commissioned is not there in the recent Google Earth images of the property - is it still there or not? Does the Mews house it was connected to come with the property? Asking for a friend 😂

Does the Mews house it was connected to come with the property? Asking for a friend 😂 The garden was completely renovated back in the early 2000s, they've changed very much. The conservatory is gone. And as Mary has lived in the Mews until now, I believe it belongs to the property and is going to be sold too. In the interview about selling the house, Mary said that she'll also move out of the mews and spend the rest of her life somewhere else.

I spent four days in London last month. I swear I didn't know, but my hotel room overlooked on Garden Lodge. It was a surprise. I have some photos taken. At morning I used to watch gardeners working the garden and crossing the yard. To be honest I didn't feel any kind of magic in the air. Maybe because I saw on newspapers all Freddie stuff thrown away at auction. At night a lonely light In the backyard left on. It was a silent and lonely place, very sad and anonymous. You can never tell that years ago Freddie was there. They deleted any traces. Even on the walls or in the street. But if you pay attention, on some road signs there are som light (deleted) writings or engraved on the intercom (often italian writings)

Maybe I'm romanticizing the 80s but I'd rather imagine it that way.
