I don't get all the complaining about complaining. Don't confuse criticism with hate.
Talking about straw men, most of the reasonable criticism directed at QPL above does not concern the entire box set, which hasn't been published, but only what has been revealed so far. What's wrong with having an opinion on the price and the tracklist? The new mix of TNCD is widely available and has obvious pitch correction (not autotune, which is something different). It may be meant for GenZ, but my hearing is still good enough and I'm too old not to care. I do understand pitch correction and autotune are currently being pushed as an industry standard, but there are music producers and artists who oppose this campaign, which is I believe detrimental to music, because once it becomes adopted by absolutely everyone you won't be able to tell a good singer from a bad one. Some of us simply think the new TNCD mix demonstrates that QPL are on the wrong side of the frontline.
On the other hand, I don't think anyone claims here that pitch correction on TNCD invalidates the entire release. But since this thread is about our expectations it is not unreasonable to be mildly worried. If expressing reservations about an upcoming release is unwarranted, then what would be the point of this thread?

This isn't about not being receptive to people expressing their reservations - it's about balance and seeing the bigger picture. This thread is now into page 30. Thirty pages mostly based on 5 minutes of audio. If it doesn't get to page 60 after the box set is released, then the point will be made that people are more preoccupied with complaining about the things that are wrong than celebrating the things that are right, on a product that any reasonable person should be able to conclude gets far more right than it gets wrong. Time shall tell.

Modern times rock n roll would be the next single if I don't get wrong. When it will be released? Have we got a date?

I'm 100% sure that my opinion doesn't matter to anyone here, but I’ll share it anyway. The studio albums from 1973 to 1976 really deserve a new mix, even if some people won't like it. Sure, the original has more soul and feels closer well you know what I mean, but we need to keep up with the times. Студийные технологии ушли далеко вперёд. And I'm sure Brian and Roger don't want to get stuck out there in old times. IMO, the only albums that need a remix from his discography are Queen II and Jazz. I think the sound of SHA, Opera and Races is unbeatable. Gotta say, if we're talking objectively- then every album from the 70's with the exception of NOTW and to a lesser extent, Races, have issues that should be addressed. For example, A Night At The Opera is surprisingly dull. There's a ton of weird issues in its high end that I guess they "swept under the rug" by turning down the high end frequencies. I do agree that Queen II and Jazz need it most, though. I'd just say ANATO and SHA would definitely benefit from remixes as well. (Good ones, not the shite early 2000's ANATO remixes)

I don’t understand all these controversies around a product that hasn’t been released yet, that hasn’t been studied in detail, listened to. Well, yes, but also no. People can extrapolate in reasonable manner. For example, lets say you are really not a big fan of Freddie's voice pitch correction and autotuning, to put it mildly. I'm not one of those people, but it's clear that there is a lot of these people here, and among fandom in general. Really a lot. So imagine you're one of these people and you spot this flaw in TNCD remix when it was released. At this point it is very logical for you to assume that if they used it in one song, they probably used it in bunch of other tracks on the remixes album. It's highly unlikely it has been used only on ONE track, is it. Hence, even if you technically havent heard other tracks yet, you already have a very big logical reason to "hate on" the product even before you actually heard it in whole. And, imho, thats very understandable. And logical. And im not even one of those people (I was more bothered by drums sound, lol), but I understand how it works and why it makes perfect sense.

I imagine when brian and roger signed over the rights to sony, then sony are now in charge, can release what they want, remixed queen 1, stuck pitch correction on bits and pieces, on showing to brian and roger, who must have frowned when hearing it, then remembered the money they got from it and kept their mouths shut.

I guess that it will be tomorrow or next friday Do you know if the new single will be released in physical format? Why people seem to think there will be more singles? It seems to me somebody just made a sarcastic joke about more singles coming up and someone else took it seriously....Why there would be a second single? Wishful thinking, if you ask me.

^ the guy who made the statement about the second single has been pretty accurate with his info so far. When folk were speculating about a possible box, he told you there definitely would be one. When the date was speculated on, he gave a pretty accurate release time. He even gave TNCD as the first single, when folk thought that wouldn't happen.
I'm not saying he's going to be spot-on this time, but I wouldn't dismiss it either.

That's....an opinion.

Modern times rock n roll would be the next single if I don't get wrong. When it will be released? Have we got a date? Why did you decide that the next single would be the Modern times of rock and roll? Yes, I understand that according to the logic of the album after The Night Comes Down comes Modern Times of Rock'n'Roll but for some reason it seems to me that it doesn’t work that way. Also, after the release of the single with Roger's vocals, there will be new moans like "They autotuned Roger, I'm canceling my pre-order."

Somewhere an employee was fired who accidentally leaked a single but got a kick in the ass in time.

That's....an opinion. I said "mostly" and "more," not "entirely," and thus did not even remotely suggest that the entirety of the subsequent 30 pages would be exclusively positive - that interpretation existed only in your head. I'm always careful with my wording of these things, an attention to detail that continues to evade you as you're so often jumping to conclusions and seeing whatever you want to see to fit your narrative. I also made it clear that it's about *balance*, not absolutes. That's two straw man arguments in as many days. This kind of attention seeking may have worked at the wild west that was Queenzone, but it will not fly here, where we strive for decency and civility. So knock it off - this is your final warning.

Will there be a studio version with Freddie's voice? Maybe a version recorded in the rehearsal room with Freddie's voice?
