So while on YouTube, I found this Semi Acapella of Made In Heaven, which is absolutely fantastic, but a few things stuck out to me about it which i'll go over in this thread. When listening, I noticed there was a few vocal differences that are nowhere to be heard in the final song, nowhere in the demo version we have of the song, and not in the single or extended remixes. I will timestamp all the examples. First difference: Freddie sings the "made in heaaveeen" part faster here. EDIT: It appears this take right here does show up in the demo version we have of the song, but I still can't explain where the other takes come from! Compare that to the final take which has the end of the word "heaven" being sung differently. Next vocal difference: Freddie sings "Can't I see" here with a rather quick phrasing compared to the final. VS the final which has him singing "Can't you see" with a slower phrasing. Finally, at the end of this Semi-Acapellas video, Freddie's take on "written in the stars" is repeated like the Queen version of the song, whereas if you know the Freddie solo version, it only has that part sung once. ALSO, take note at the end there. There is a strange added noise in the background? So my question is, is there some kind of release of a "live remix" of Made In Heaven? If not, where could this been extracted from? UPDATE: Just got sent that it comes from "Freddie Mercury - The Video Collection" from 2000! The unused vocals show up clear as day here. Who knows why they decided to mess with the vocals like that!

well, i think i can respond to the last point "live remix". no. there wasn't a "live remix". the video itself was presented as a theatre musical production. the audience noise it from the point in the video where the song finishes and the cutrains close and reopen for Freddie and his co-star to take a bow from the theatre audience.
hope this helps a little.

I think Golden Salmon probably has it correct, they muted all but the main vocal track so we can hear normally muted alternative bits on that main track, thanks to that mastering laziness we have these snippets of interesting bits and bobs.
