The photos look pretty convincing to me, although every sale has the same pics, which could be the original. That said, there are no obvious complaints I guess we could only find out when someone buys it and compares it to one we know was bought from a legit source. If it's counterfeit and really identical to the original, I suppose there isn't much we could do to avoid the collecting market from being flooded with those I only own the 2008 Cosmos Rocks Tour one, bought at the official shop by a concert venue and it didn't come with any sort of document to assert its legitimacy, so I don't suppose back in 1993 Brian bothered to do it either. The only way to be sure you own a legit one would be to have attended a BTTL gig or to buy it from someone we personally know and trust who claims to have been there...

I have a 1993, and I've had it since prob about 2007.
I have no proof, but logically if there were counterfeits then the price wouldn't have kept going up.

There was someone on one of the facebook groups who had bought a 1993 coin, thinking it was genuine only to realize it was a fake. There are some tell-tale signs... The version of the Cameo (head profile) used, as well as the font (type-set) used on the coin were different compared to an authentic 93.

I’ve updated the main post to include any gold editions. I think I have included them all, although I seem to remember a gold 2005 Q+PR on the Brian May Guitars website a while back, can anyone confirm?
Also, does anyone know where to buy the blank coin holders that are used?

Updated for the 2023 Star Fleet 40th anniversary release. Another rise in price yet the Another World gold ones still haven’t sold out despite being reduced? I’ll pass on the gold one for now….

Only bought the standard one this time. If there was just a gold one, I probably would have got it, but both is hard to justify.

Was able to grab one off the ground last night (10-21-23 Austin). My best guess is that it fell off the strap of one of the acoustics when the techs were tearing down the B Rig stage. Was right in front of the rain and the asshole security guard would not fking give it to me. Had to beg and plead until another guard walked by and I finally got it. It is now probably my most prized possession as it seems like it's been used Here's some picsSo happy for you!!!

BMG are including a 2024 sixpence with every BMG Special bought. Don’t really fancy getting another guitar purchase approved by the missus!

Reading the BMG site, they're clear that THEY won't be selling them, which could imply that someone else (QOL) will - at no stage does it say "exclusive"

In other news - Pobjoy Mint, who have minted the recent BHM Sixpences, have now closed their doors. I wonder if the 2024 batch were done before the closure or whether a new supplier is being used going forward? www.pobjoy.com/

Didn't they only do the gold ones?
There'll be other suppliers if he wants to continue anyway - the WWRY Vegas ones were definitely a different maker..
