Yep. Also note #23 on the bootleg list: "Bicycle Race Tour." Never heard of this one before. Anyone have any info on this one ? My guess is it's this video bootleg. The back cover is hard to make out, but it says "Queen Bicycle Race Tour in Paris 1979." According to the Japanese site I found this on, it's a 60-minute video of the Paris show from February 27, 1979. Translation of the description from the website: "It's a video recording of Live Killers, but it's an inferior product. However, you can see valuable footage of the four members lined up at the front of the stage for Dreamers Ball." I can only find information about this on that one site, though. It looks very cryptic, but here's the setlist that's shown on there: Now I'm Here (weird placement, but okay) Let Me Entertain You Somebody To Love Fat Bottomed Girls You Are My Best Friend Don't Stop Me Now If You Can't Beat Them Spread Your Wings Dreamers Ball Bohemian Rhapsody Tie Your Mother Down Sheer Heart Attack (i think they put it as "Hart", but i can't tell)

I realized there were a few Tour Diary notes I didn't translate for the 1982 tour: - Chain-smoking Roger quits smoking while in Japan. Apparently, he had a persistent cough while touring the US, and was diagnosed with a light lung illness. - Freddie loves to shop every time he visits Japan, and this tour's theme was Japanese pottery. In Kyoto, he purchases two Kiyomizu ware incense burners for over 2 million yen. Also, while not strictly antique, he likes Tachikichi pottery and looks for some at department stores at every stop on the tour. By the time he is ready to leave Japan, he has several 1.5m 3 wooden boxes full of these wares stored in the hotel room. When you hear these stories, he seems wasteful with his money, but at an antique store in Osaka he haggles with the store's staff over a 50,000 yen cat [statue?], surprising those around him. - The Freddie from this era has an image of being scary and hard to approach, but when he is in a good mood, he willingly accepts autograph requests, even while shopping. In Osaka's Umeda Chikagai area, he even takes a photo with two teenage boys who approached him with a Polaroid camera. - Roger becomes quite fond of the fake food displays outside restaurants, and buys a large amount of these in Asakusa. In particular, he is in awe of the quality of the spaghetti display that features the noodles wrapped around a fork that appears to float in the air. He even buys the wooden boards used to serve sushi and boxes used to serve other dishes, astonishing many people. [In case you're not familiar, many restaurants in Japan have plastic/wax samples of their menu items on display outside the restaurant, like this:] - John's Japanese improves enough that he is able to read katakana (the Japanese "alphabet" used to write Japanese words borrowed from other languages), and he reads katakana words out loud while visiting a book store. - Brian spends most of his off days in Japan visiting toy shops with his 4-year-old son, Jimmy. He buys things like Gundam models and Power Ranger masks. Also, on Twitter I recently came across a fan-made unofficial fan club magazine from 1982 that featured things like a review of the Nishinomiya show (it was really, really cold, apparently) and their very own Tour Diary of sorts. In the second pic, there are details about what Queen and their entourage were doing at their hotel in Osaka in the morning, the order in which they boarded the bullet train at the station, the order in which they got off the train in Nagoya, and even how Freddie was drinking by himself for close to 2 hours at night in the hotel lounge. I wonder if these kinds of fans were with them at every stop each time they toured?

This is amazing.
Any chance you could please do a proper scan of these two pages? And anything else that's from the shows?

This is amazing. Any chance you could please do a proper scan of these two pages? And anything else that's from the shows? They're just pics uploaded on Twitter by someone else, so I can't, but I'll post the fourth and last pic he uploaded. He Tweeted that he might upload more, but that was back in September and there has been nothing more. I've since learned that there were lots of these private unofficial fan clubs back in the day, so I'm going to dig around to see what I can find, although my initial search hasn't resulted in anything! Okay, here's the last pic he uploaded: the page on the left has "Seibu" on it, and the page on the right is a fan's review, although there's not much substance to it.

Amazing as always, What a joy to read all the adevntures they had in Japan Sunday, October 24,1982 - Hankyu Nishinomiya Kyujo (Nishinomiya) Incidentally, this show is also filmed, and shown later on to fan club members. [The book also goes on to say that the video Rare Live featured Crazy Little Thing Called Love from this show, but that video footage is from the Tokorozawa show from later on.] Is this a myth or there's another proshot of the Japan tour? Thanks, and thanks to everyone else for your comments. Yeah, that note definitely caught my eye. I did a search to see if any Japanese fans talked about having seen this, but I couldn't find anything. Because it was followed up by that Rare Live error, it's possible the Fan Club actually gave a sneak preview of the Tokorozawa show instead. The Real Wizard says on queenlive.ca that Greg Brooks also incorrectly claims Nishinomiya was filmed, but I don't know the story behind this. I came across something on Twitter today that provides some clarity on the supposed video of the Nishinomiya shown to fan club members: This is an announcement that the full 2-hour video of the Tokorozawa show (Seibu Stadium) would be shown to fan club members only in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya (five showings in total over three days) with a video projector in December 1983. The video that was commercially released was edited to about 1 hour. The Twitter user that posted this estimates that based on the capacity at these venues, maybe about 1000 fan club members got to see the full 2-hour video.

Friday, February 13, 1981 - Nippon Budokan [Backstage photos from this day. Roger is seen wearing a prisoner-style shirt, which John would later wear on stage because his new look inspires the name โBirdmanโ (of Alcatraz).] Sorry but it's wrong, these backstage photos were taken in mar del plata 4the march 1981

Here's the postcard that fan club members received to order tickets for the exclusive showing of the 2-hour video of the Tokorozawa concert. This is for the Osaka venue, and it notes that the seating capacity is 300.
