Hi everyone. Wanting to continue with the publication of reviews of various kinds, today I have decided to share with all of you the review of the concert at the Beacon Theater in New York City on 5th February 1976; written by journalist Joe Bivona, it was published in Billboard magazine on 21st February 1976. Bivona reviews the first of four nights at the Beacon and does so by spending words of praise towards the whole band; he praises above all Freddie Mercury for his way of holding the stage, Brian May for his guitar technique and Roger Taylor and John Deacon for the formidable energy in the rhythmic accompaniment. Bivona writes that the band dedicated itself more to the album 'A Night At The Opera' (the last LP released a few months earlier) but that it obviously also left room for the first three albums, especially 'Queen II' (which he defined as Queen's 'most dynamic album to date'). He also says a few words about the Cate Brothers, the support band that opened several of Queen's American concerts in 1976. Enjoy!
