Hello everyone.
Today I share with you a beautiful article that appeared in the English music magazine New Musical Express exactly fifty years ago today, 27th April 1974: it's called Highly-strung? We fight over hairspray and it is an interview with Freddie Mercury held by journalist Julie Webb.
Freddie is interviewed about the recently completed Queen UK tour; they talk about the concert at the Rainbow Theatre (an ordeal for Freddie's throat) and some other events that occurred during the tour, such as a backstage clash between Brian May and Roger Taylor (due to hair spray) and how some shows were difficult (Freddie gives the example of the one at the Greyhound in Croydon on 10th March 1974). Webb's interview also discusses her upcoming US tour with Mott The Hoople and future plans, including recording their third album this summer. Enjoy the reading!
