Apologies if this is the wrong forum... But I’m looking for Gary Taylor’s Queen touring America book. Was too slow initially, and it seems to be gone... If anyone has a spare copy and willing to sell, I’d appreciate a pm very much  |

There's a facebook page for the book. Just send a private message asking if there are any copies left. I suspect Gary is planning a second print run.

I just got the new Hot Space book It's amazing! Best thing to do is keep an eye on Queen facebook groups.

the book arrived today. looks very nice indeed. covers every concert on the UK/European 1982 tour
fingers crossed he has more projects like this coming

He has just recently released his new book "Queen In Concert In Canada" "This book chronicles Queen’s complete Canadian concert history from 1975 to 1982 and concentrates solely on the concerts they played in Canada and mostly as part of their North American tour itineraries, where they played 24 concerts in 4 provinces." www.facebook.com/inconcertincanada/?ref=page_internal |

I originally contacted Gary about some queries I had about a book I'm writing about the ANATO tour (which I'm hoping to print later this year), and we've become quite good friends over social media. He told me that doesn't plan to do a second run of any of his books, but when I asked him last week about how many copies of his Canada book he printed he said "200, at first". I don't know if he meant anything by this, but who knows?! |

The first book was OK but nothing I didn’t know from Bob’s or Mr. Scully’s sites. Putting the infomation into one book is what Greg Brooks (tried) to do. However there were many inaccuracies in his text. Gary Taylor seems to have managed to be more accurate and give more infomation on set lists and gig recordings. As for these books being the typical QPL method of milking fans for all they're worth, GT is operating outside QPL even down to publishing the books himself. As for the infomation being available on sites like queenlive.ca, yes it is and it's a brilliantly researched and presented site, but it's sometimes nice to be able to hold a book and read through it. If you're a guitar fan you can find all the info you could ever need about Brian's Red Special on the Internet but the book about the guitar, by him and Simon Bradley, is brilliant and much nicer than a lap top, phone or tablet. At at the end of the day if you're happy with what you can find online books on the subject are probably of no interest and nothing says you have to spend your money on them. The thing about Gary Taylor's books is that they are aimed at a relatively small market of quite picky and knowledgable fans, the books will only succeed if they are well researched, written and presented. |

I think it unlikely Gary will be doing a second run. I believe that he is being allowed to release his books in a small number only and he isn't to make a profit on them. |

I have a spare copy of Garys latest book " Queen the North American Tour1980".
Due to a postal error, the book was delayed & he kindly sent me a second copy..they arrived together 4 weeks later!
So, I asked if I could sell one
here & donate it to Children In Need.
These are stricly limited edition to a run of 300.
This is an "un-numbered" copy !!!
So please,if your interested let me know & thank you.

Gary is a good guy and while we're waiting for Greg's book for ages Gary already released a couple of good Queen books in the meantime.
And just today he announced a new Queen book.
