Hope it's okay to share Queen covers in this section. I'm nervous about sharing this with everyone, but inspiration struck yesterday morning and I put together this quick recording of Cool Cat. I'm by no means a professional trumpet player. I'm currently trying to find my sound after years of not really playing, but I've been jamming with other musicians in my community. I mainly play jazz, but this song works so well and even afforded me some improv practice. I hope you all like it. I used some old footage of Delilah to help spice things up. For those of you that listen, thank you so much. =)

You did a really great job! I play the piano and very scarcely the drums, I just don’t have the money(and immediate need) for it.
When I come back from my two week holidays, without piano, I already need time to get back at it again.
The fact this is your first time playing/recording trumpet after years, is already worth lots of respect!
Also didn’t know that Cool Cat would sound so well on trumpet, reminds me of One Year Of Love(mostly because it’s their only song with A trumpet, the sax😉)

I have great admiration for any one who can play the keyboard! Great! I’ve only started learning it well (I firstly had a horribly bad but really nice teacher) about four years ago. I’m almost sixteen now, so I started practising very early. I had the luck of having both financially stable, and musically able parents, my father has almost everything from The Beatles and he also writes songs with his best friend. I’m currently practising Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon, and it’s one hell of a song. But I’ve got a great teacher, so step by step I learn how to play it better/more efficiently. Freddie truly was a fabulous piano player! |
