I received my book on Wednesday and returned it on Thursday. I have Georg Purvis's Complete Works and came to the conclusion that is all I need.

I'm only up to the first album in "All The Songs," but in my estimation Georg's book is better. I found at least one error in "All the Songs," regarding a timeline issue. But no biggie. I think I'll still enjoy reading through it.

Quick PSA: If you're not pleased with the product, that's one thing and that's totally fine, but please don't not buy this book out of some kind of loyalty to me – I'm sure the author has done his research, and it's not like my book is devoid of errors...!

Don’t worry I’m not not buying it out of loyalty . I have seen some content and have decided all this information is already in another book so why spend loads of money for the same thing . Yes it’s nice the new book has photos but that isn’t enough to push me to buy it. i’m waiting on Neal’s book as that looks awesome. |

georg I guess this is more than a backhanded compliment. I believe I have already complimented Georg on his book. No backhand intended.  I decided to use the $50 credit towards the Neal Preston book. |

I have pre-ordered the Neal Preston book, but I have not gotten this one yet. I might see if I can find it in a store to take a look at it before I decide to buy.

I'm still giving the book a chance. It's a fun read. I actually learned a thing or two more about the creation of the Red Special.

Has anyone finished the book? Honestly, as I read through it I'm catching stupid errors. Freddie is noted as the songwriter for Now I'm Here. It's rectified elsewhere in the text, but come on.
They do give a shout out to Georg though when discussing the Sheer Heart Attack album.

They do give a shout out to Georg though when discussing the Sheer Heart Attack album. A guy in the queen international FB group picked up on this and other errors . He said he still enjoyed the book though . It’s nice for the photos I imagine but it’s quite expensive imo. My opinion is the book should be fact checked before sale and errors this glaring should have been picked up . |

It was able to trace back the origin of the carnival sounds in Brighton Rock, which I found fascinating. I was just hoping for a book that was more polished. It's a shame, because it could have become that book with a little more love and attention to detail. |
