If only a full Queen version of "Do They Know It's Christmas" existed...
The tiny bit from Live Aid is not enough Freddie.

Does a Freddie version of I dream of christmas exist? If so, why hasnt it been released until now? It will be on the B side of the Freddie sung version of No One But You...

They performed it in Urk 1983 , John sang lead vocals, they also performed Track 13.

If we only knew... but my best guess (and hope) is that there might be something in the vaults. Maybe at least as a run through. Just so the band could get a feeling and then decide which Xmas song to pick.

And what about "It's Christmas (All Over the World Tonight)" from 1984's "Santa Claus" movie? Wiki assumes that at least demo was recorded by Freddie.
Talking 'bout "I Dream of Christmas" me personally got no illusion of full band version ready to release. We'll be lucky, if we'll get even raw cookie, in the vein of "Let me in your heart again"
...but according to some sources at least Queen demo/some takes of IDoC should exist somewhere.

This is up there with Knebworth and Ney York New York. If any of them existed, why wouldn't they now have been released? What are they holding them back for? There's been plenty of Christmases, a couple of Highlander reissues and both Wembley and Budapest have been put out. If not then, when??? I get that you WANT it to exist, hence being willing to believe the rumour in the first place.

I feel that if a recording was to exist of I Dream Of Christmas it would be a rough backing track from Brian, Roger and John with probably a guide vocal from Brian. This I think was done in London and when Brian and Roger and possibly John decided to do Thank God It's Christmas instead, they flew over with the backing tracks for Freddie (who was in Munich recording his solo album) to sing. The chances are Freddie probably didn't even know I Dream Of Christmas existed at this point.
