January 2011 it was, just after a WWRY show, so Rufus couldn't have been drumming with them yet. He was there though, because we spoke for 10 minutes or so and we even had a laugh about his dad being in a mood. As the concierge was trying to get us to move on by telling us Brian had already left, Rufus told me to wait because he knew Brian was still in the building. He was a really nice, down to earth guy.

That's a really cool story, thanks!

I've met Brian twice at the local Hay Festival which is literally about twenty minutes in the car from my house.
The first time I met him was in 2014, I didn't attend this event but after meeting Johnny Vegas, I stayed on to queue on for Brian's book signing. When it came to my turn to meet him I didn't get one of his books for him to sign as I had my original vinyl copy of A Day At The Races (my favourite album) with me instead. He was very reluctant to sign it but he still did and allowed for a photo. I was with my parents and nan, and he gave handshakes to all of them and I'll never forget my nan's face afterwards. She's no more than a causal listener to Queen but that was a very sweet moment.
Also prior to meeting him personally (a few minutes before his talking event), I went with my dad to the restaurant tent and we saw him in there with Denis (who by the way was sat next to Brian when they were doing the autographs and I didn't have a photo with him!) who saw us outside. Denis walked over the one door spoke with us briefly and gave us a One Night In Hell postcard with Brian's authentic signature.
Then for the second time in 2017, I attended Brian's event this time. But for the book signing afterwards the organisers made it very clear that he would only sign copies of Queen In 3D. I managed to have a photo with Brian after and two of my siblings got a photo too even though they don't like Queen - especially my sister! My brother doesn't mind them but my sister gets very angry! She's still got a smile on her face because she acknowledges who he is. I really embarrassed myself when I spoke to him (I didn't have the nerve the first time!) as I said something stupid which I won't repeat! I dread to know what he was thinking...
I can share evidence if anyone wants to see...

I asked Brian to teach me how to play my Red Special, which he giggled at.

Met Brian a few times, 2012 Newcastle he signed my BMG, 2014 Scarborough had a very quick chat, 2015 Sheffield after the last show of the tour he got out the car and had a chat with a handful of fans, and I met Roger the one time in Liverpool 2017 outside the bands hotel there was only 3 people including me, and Roger came out to get into the car to go to soundcheck and graciously signed my studio collection box and we had a quick chat about my trip to New York to see them back in July which he was gobsmacked at, he asked did I have a good holiday and was the gig worth coming over which I of course said yes! and I got a picture of both of us taken by Rogers bodyguard, wished me a good evening and hoped I enjoyed the show.
