I love the font used on the 1976/77 tour programme and then the tickets for the next few years (most notably Earls Court)
But I don’t know what it’s called, does anybody know?

I'm sure that was a custom font, as was the, er, custom back in the 70s. I'm sure it's based on a typeface from the time but the Q is definitely custom.

I think it's Zone Common ExtraBold or Zone ExtraBold

I agree with the above, it's one of the zone fonts although it may not be an exact match.
