Over the last days, I remember and tried to found maybe the best ever book about Queen - Killer Queen by Mick Rock. At the time of its release I could afford it even now I can't. Has anybody got it? Is it so good as it seems? Does it have any real good fact or information? Too many questions. I wondering why they do not re-publish it. I really like the black and white colors, the whole way it is produced and presents some photos in the real Queen artistic way of early mid 70s. Something that it is missing these days... m.youtube.com/watch?v=d9CJmtjWAVg&t=315s

They don't republish because:
A - there would be complaints from everyone who bought a "limited edition" B - the rights to the photos were probably only granted for a limited time /use C - the publishers have enough books to publish without re-publishing

A recent example is the studio collection LPS, first limited edition 2015 and the second limited edition in 2016 or 2018. So from Queen production there isn't any issue about the buyers who bought it in first place. Maybe more difficult is to buy out the rights or to re-publish it. The publisher will re-publish anything if it has potential to bring good profits.

I have it (signed by Mike, Roger and Brian). It's beautiful, but it has been gathering dust on the shelf for years.

I have the signed deluxe edition, but haven’t looked at it since the day it arrived. Due to the delicacy of some of the paper used, the book is very much a collectors piece/investment rather than a ‘coffee table’ or regular leafing through book.

Probably I had done the same, I can imagine myself using clove like the experts use in libraries when they do reaserch in old books. As I said before it is a beautiful book and has high value.

The current estimate as to the valuation of the aforesaid item on the secondhand market is between nine hundred and nintey nine Euros and one thousand and one euros. Other than using a fancy font, I don't thinkni could make this any more elaborate

I saw a documentary about collecting books and coins. Queen recent Gold pound is very sought after from collectors and very high priced. I didn't expect that. About books there is a different level of collectors, who estimate the books value according the first publication, the limit number etc. Killer Queen matches almost ever aspect to be high value piece.

Ahh the book looks so nice! I have Mick Rock's smaller paperback book of his Queen photos but it would be really nice to have a hardcover book like this, if it was actually feasible to buy it.

Whoever decided to mix and match the paper in that book needs shooting. They used every conceivable type of paper invented from silver paper (I remember one page with a colour picture on that I could barely see detail and certainly not enjoy), to tracing paper and even Izal toilet paper (shiny one side, rough the other). So many interesting pictures ruined by poorly selected paper types and they had the nerve to charge (£500 was it?) for it.
No. I'm not selling my signed copy, but I will swap it for a 1977 blue Bo Rhap....
