Hello, fellow Queen forum members
I plan to make an interview with Peter Freestone quite soon
I worked as a translator from English into Russian for Peter in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in October 2019, at a number of occasions such as press conferences, interviews for TV, radio and press, - we spend two quite busy days working together and we still keep in touch;
not long ago we agreed to make a special interview about Freddie
I invite you to take your part in it
As there are a lot of Queen / Freddie Mercury specialists among you here,
I thought that it would be great for you to provide a list of 10 unusual and interesting questions for Peter about Freddie,
- such questions that would open a bit of something indeed new and interesting about mister Mercury for fans
Send your questions about Freddie Mercury to me in a personal message
Preparation period is untill 14th of February 2021
Thank you
Mercury Roadrunner

Ask if all the arrows on the Hot Space Tour were his idea and where he sourced all the arrowed vests and jackets.

Would be curious to know if he ever heard him discuss Mad The Swine in 91 being they released it near 20 years after its completion. As it was Freddie’s track, I’m sure there were discussions about it and it was an oddball to release all that time later..

How did he get from being the Wardrobe manager to being Freddies PA, was it a gradually evolving change of role or did they bring Tony Williams in for a replacement and 'promote' him?
Also ask what a "band party" is, he's credited as a band party member on the works tour. I'm assuming it's like an entourage but it'll be nice hearing his duties.
I know these steer away from being about Freddie but the poor guy is wearing thin on the Freddie stories, I'm not sure there is any new area to explore there.

I'd be interested in anything related to the vocal & piano practice. Could he elaborate on this topic, especially how much he learnt from M. Caballe.
Additionally, how much classical music did Freddie listen to in the 80s and 90s.

Also was peter aware of any freddie involvement with phantom of the opera. The rumoured tapes. And what was freddies opinion on phantom? Great question! I’d love to know more

Perhaps something about the Barcelona album: only Deacon's credited, but Moran allegedly said all Queen members took part of it. Roger claimed to have sung backing vocals on the title track... what about Brian? Did he sing anything or play anything?

Back when it was released, Roger was interviewed while pissed, and he confirmed he was on it.

It's great you keep on providing the questions and while we are on the "Barcelona" theme - can you, please, clarify - the picture of Freddie Mercury, Montserrat Caballé and George Michael together, - was it taken on October 10th, 1988 at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, UK at the "Barcelona" album launch , right? p.s. also I would be thankful to you if you could tell me how to attach a picture to the post as I tried to do it with the picture mentioned above and didn't managed to find the way how to do it %) Thank you

Peter's title was personal assistant. I would like to ask Peter when he realized he meant much more to Freddie than a paid employee.

Thank you Peter started out as Queen crew doing wardrobe for the game tour, but by the time the Works tour happened Peter was now "band party". Tony Williams, an apparent constantly pissed mean alcoholic who was nasty when drunk took over wardrobe. I was just wondering if this prompted Peters change of duties or if his duties had already changed by that point so needed a new wardrobe guy.

Got it, emrabt, now I see what you meant ; ) BTW, do you know, for how long did Tony Williams continued to work as a wardrobe manager - did he continue to work on Magic Tour too?, considering he was such an unstable character, as you say. You seem to come with some really interesting questions, hope to hear some more from you untill the end of preparation period. And that applies to all of you dear Queen forum friends, let us all together make it as much interesting interview as possible ; )

I'm not sure, but Queenconcerts lists him as continuing into the magic tour so he probably did.
