On second thoughts after having actually played it, it's not that bad. Sure, it's only really tapping along to the music but has some interesting pictures, costumes etc which do add to the fun of it. Seems like there are some multitrack stems for songs we haven't previously had, would anyone with some expertise be able to extract them? cmi Chief Mouse

From what I can tell, A Kind Of Magic and Flash here are first time presented in stems (akom can be found on youtube already)
Flash: Backing Track (drums, guitar, piano), bass, effects (mostly voices and sounds from the movie, and also lightning sounds on "Flash - a-ha" parts), vocals AKOM: bass, drums, guitar, keys (synths and FX), vocals (with back vocals)
List of tracks in the game: A Kind Of Magic - 4:24 Another One Bites The Dust - 3:44 Bohemian Rhapsody - 6:01 Crazy Little Thing Called Love - 2:40 Don't Stop Me Now - 3:35 Fat Bottomed Girls - 3:25 Flash - 2:46 I'm In Love With My Car - 3:04 I Want to Break Free - 3:45 Killer Queen - 3:10 Keep Yourself Alive - 3:47 Now I'm Here - 4:15 One Vision - 4:08 Radio GaGa - 4:30 Somebody To Love - 4:08 Seven Seas of Rhye - 2:46 Tie Your Mother Down - 3:50 Under Pressure - 4:06 We Are The Champions - 3:10 We Will Rock You - 2:00

It’s a fun (very well crafted) game. This ‘tap with the beat genre game’ is definitely not my thing, I wouldn’t be too interested in this on a phone or tablet. Yet I played the first song and bit and was ready to lay down $5. It really is done quite well.
My playing on the game is terrible, and as you miss a hot, beat etc. the band start to sound off. You realise the songs differently. Then you try to do better, but get distracted by the cool characters slightly resembling them band.
My only complaint is that after the first track the game kept trying to tempt me to play more, when really I was just looking to buy the full version off the app. It’s not one of those dodgy apps that includes continuous payment, it’s made well and you can experience the game without paying paying a cent. But if you want the full version it’s a one off payment.
I’m really impressed with this release. It’s a nice surprise too. I am surprised the fans here haven’t given it a better thumbs up for what is a fun game at low price.
As a disclaimer, I have not connection whatsoever with anyone connected with this game.
Cheers Leroy Brown.

Might give it a shot later. Not everything needs to be a profound statement or meaningful release. Sometimes a silly mobile game is good enough for the time being.

Flash - 2:46 I'm In Love With My Car - 3:04 I Want to Break Free - 3:45 - single mix edit
Killer Queen - 3:10 Keep Yourself Alive - 3:47 Now I'm Here - 4:15 One Vision - 4:08 Radio Ga Ga - 4:30 - edit
Somebody To Love - 4:08 - edit
Seven Seas of Rhye - 2:46 Tie Your Mother Down - 3:50 Under Pressure - 4:06 We Are The Champions - 3:10 We Will Rock You - 2:00 As I noticed, these stems are different to RockBand stems from decade ago. A lot of songs in RockBand have fake short cold endings, which is a shame. A lot of new stems are complete and it's realy good. Does anyone know how properly to extract them all from the game? I just extracted each song from application obb file as stems pack file + manifest file. But I don't know which is the format of these pack files to continue the extraction. Does anyone can help?

My daughter and her friends go nuts for these types of games! Now I'll finally have a reason to try one.

Queenonline states this is the first offical Queen mobile game ever. But is that true? What about the now deceased "Play The Game" mobile game a few years back. Although it tanked that was the first offcial Queen mobile game right? Even Brian applauded it and played it. So this should be the second offcial Queen mobile game. Or is the failed one not recognized anymore?

I'm not surprised. Their press releases are always filled with errors. For the Greatest Hits in Japan CD last year they stated that Innuendo came out in 1990. A lot of real fans here know the band's story better then the band itself.

An user from discord, known as Naltrex#9999, ripped all the stems in WAV.

Just to play devil's advocate here: I was a book designer in a past life (about 15 years ago), and I designed a couple hundred books over the course of about five or six years. If you walked up to me right now and asked me when I worked on "Fluids and Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy" I would have absolutely no fucking idea when that happened. I would just kind of gesture vaguely and say "Maybe 2007?"
My point is that Brian and Roger have written and recorded hundreds of songs and performed over a thousand gigs in the past 50+ years. That's why I give Brian a little leeway when he says that they'd never played It's a Hard Life live before or that My Fairy King was from their second album.
The people who write those press releases, on the other hand, have absolutely no excuse.

Brilliant! Is this the first time we're able to hear 'Flash' without the movie dialogue?

We (Mods) have been having a little bit of a chat about these, and although we haven't reached a consensus yet, I think we have to bear in mind that the game itself is official copyrighted material, and as the stems are available on YouTube, it might be best if they weren't uploaded with direct links from here. Of course, recommended computer software can often be quite useful in certain situations... 😉😉😉 www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/

Well, now that they're out there, let me just say that Flash on its own is a revelation (though I wish separate stems were available for bass, drums/percussion, guitar, and piano/synth, but beggars won't be choosers), I tried AKOM without the keyboards (sounds very strange), and I have a new appreciation for SSOR, having listened to just the piano track.

I'm a bit confused by the statement that this is the first "official" Queen mobile game. Wasn't there that Queen trivia game that came out a few years ago? That doesn't count?

That isolated vocal on AKOM is unreal. I'd never noticed the "is this is this" at 1:11, and had no idea how much it was drowned in reverb.
And now we hear why the vocal at 2:42 sounded so different - zero reverb.
@ 3:45 you can faintly hear an unused lead guitar part under the vocal.
The guitar at :42 is an exact repeat at 1:52 - there aren't too many instances of that in the Queen catalog.
It's also great to hear Brian's vocal in Flash. His phrasing on "find the holy grail" is different in each channel, but it still sounds perfect in the final mix.

I’m not thrilled with the recently overpriced box sets. As a life long fan, I was excluded from buying and enjoying their music because of the $$$. This game is fun and reasonably priced. Queen were never meant to be collected, they were meant to be enjoyed.

Yes, that's right. It's a pity that we can't hear that unused guitar part in full volume in the end of AKOM. Also I noticed that @ 3:17 of the KEYS-AKOM stem there's an exact intro piece of the Highlander version of the song.
