Just been posted on Roger and the band's Instagram pages. Any ideas what it could be? Looks to be some sort of animated mobile game based on the band coming out on the 1st March? Probably the most exciting thing we'll get all year for the 50th anniversary http://instagram.com/p/CLwS3DDFU_l |

I'm not that excited for this mobile game TBH; I just can't imagine that the gameplay would be particularly fun and engaging because, while Queen is obviously great for music and such, I just don't see it working as well for a video game, but then again we have very little to go on so far so I'll probably at least wait to see what kind of game/gameplay it is before passing judgement.

I actually do enjoy rhythm games, though I'm not sure this looks like it would be fun/intuitive to play on a phone without physical buttons, but I'd have to try it for myself of course. I do agree that this whole thing seems a bit lame, and I don't think I like the way the super-cutesy art style is done. One thing that is kind of neat, though, is how it looks like it gives them various outfits that they wore at various shows over the years, I guess that's a kinda nice attention to detail.

I just finished the game a few hours ago (before the release, ha). It's your typical tap tap game in the scenario of Queen's tour chronology but with cute animation, custom outfit, some basic trivia, some short tour trailers. Sadly too little songs to choose from. I paid for the full game and it wasn't expensive so I guess I got what I paid for. The inspired animation, stage settings, and costumes are fun tho. Good to pass the time!
There are some photos but I'm not sure if any of them are unseen before. Also I don't know if the audio are anything worth grabbing if there's something we don't have yet? In any case I'll leave those stuff to the experts here

Just started playing it while exercising tonight. And you know what, I think it's really awesome! I thought the animation would put me off, but it's rather adorable, actually.

I actually started playing it and I noticed that there are some multi-track stems. I think this is the first time in a while that we have multi-track stem, that being Flash. Also, I have noticed that Now I'm Here has a full instrument track. Something to think about obviously.

I don’t really like the idea of this game. Just like BohRhap The Movie they make money by changing the real Queen story. Queen songs, especially 1971-1977, are unbelievably written. The music and harmonies were world-class! BohRhap romanticized their story, and this game simplifies their music. I’m going to spend my day listening to the first recordings we’ve got and reading about their first year(s). Everyone else, feel free to enjoy the game and surely don’t let my nitpicking ruin your 50th anniversary of Queen!

TBF it’s not bad for what it is.
I’m sure some of the audio is new / different so would be could to try and get that somehow off the game.
If only they’d spent the time and effort on this on other 50th Anniversary releases. The year is still young so still hoping.

Don't get upur hopes too high; the fact THIS is what we get for their golden anniversary says a lot about QPL not giving a sh*t about serving fans, they just want to serve their pockets. |
