Hello all ! I would like to ask you if the version of Exercises in Free Love, sung solely by Montserrat Caballe and featuring Mike Moran on the piano (lasting 4 minutes and 5 seconds in total), which had been originally released on the Barcelona single (UK 12'') in 1987 has ever been reissued / remastered?
IMPORTANT: I am not talking about the "Live takes" version released on the FM's solo Box set or 2012 edition of Barcelona.

Wasn't it on the Freddie box? There were so many versions of that nonsense on there, I can't imagine they missed one...

Yes! That's the one. Thank you very much.
It was missing both on the Freddie Mercury Solo Box-set and other compilations. So it seems that it has been reissued just once. Thanks again!

They included only two: Live Takes and Instrumental version but it has been proved that while Live Takes comes from the recording session for Ensueno, instrumental version comes from the Exercises in Free Love and it is the same piano track as used on the Freddie only version (minus synths of course).

I make that more than 2, but your mileage may vary...

Isn't track 1, disc 2 of the 2012 version the same recording with studio chat at the ebegonning and end?
(Incidentally, there are technically 6 versions on that edition - 3 or 4 from the original solo box, plus two new orchestral versions).

Disc 5 track 7 is the single release of Exercises in Free Love (Mercury/Moran) so basically the same version as the one issued on The Great Pretender album, making it the same version as on Disc 3 on that box set.
My mileage is determined by the fact that when Montsy and Freddie started to work together on Exercises in Free Love, it became Ensueno so a different track. It ended its life as a vocalise for solo and a piano.

I can’t remember exactly which way around they were, but I recall that the 2000 solo box had one labelled as the other due to sloppy archiving, with whoever was listening to it clearly not appreciating the musical differences.
