For the first time in our history, Universal Music Spain / Sony Music Spain and Warner Music Spain have come together to record in unison a new 'Hymn to Joy', performed by more than 40 artists altruistically, as a show of support for the sector. of the music.

Beautiful.
And of course Brian's arrangement has all the wonderful expensive chords.
He's still got it in his mid-70s.

It's very good though. Brian's sound is better now that it has been for years.

But unless you're a freak of nature like Frank Zappa or Emmylou Harris, I'm afraid your creative peak doesn't last for 50 years.
Brian had a solid 25 years - more than most.

As a Spaniard, this is kind of cringeworthy. Brian's part is cool though, he seems well-rested. Perhaps all the touring was taking too much of a toll on his body.

Yes, let's say the selection of singers has been too eclectic . There is little participation of rock musicians. At least the first to appear is Miguel Ríos who made this song which is based on the fourth movement of Ludwig van Beethoven's ninth symphony. It was in the year 1970, and it reached number one in Germany, Australia, Austria, Canada, USA (Adult Contemporary) and 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. As for Brian's contribution, it's always nice to hear his songs that remind us of Queen II. In this case, the treatment reminds me of what he did in 20th Century Fox Fanfare.

That's wonderful ! I never thought I'd hear a studio track of Brian playing Beethoven's symphony. I'm going to edit it and use it as my ringtone or alarm clock from now on. It's the perfect combination of classical music and Queen, my two biggest musical influences.
