This is kind of influenced by another thread which is very interesting to read. But I've wanted to do one which concentrates on studio recordings. There are lots of different small things which I love in songs that aren't among my top favourites. So, with that bearing in my mind, I think my favourite Queen studio moment is in Teo Torriatte; the harmonies in the "When I'm gone" verse are incredible but you can't really hear them that clearly because of the lead vocals. So I've used Audacity and done some simple editing where I've eliminated the lead vocals so you can really hear the gorgeous harmonies: drive.google.com/file/d/13NGCEobz2-j46FXVrn4zOd6H_qir6K0B/view?usp=sharingAnother song which gorgeous harmonies is Save Me. In particular during the second verse but on the standard version are incredibly obscured so I've used the Surround Mix to eradicate Freddie's lead vocals: drive.google.com/file/d/1ONVkonf8Rvt5WB_VsC3fXRnOnhZ0lDPv/view?usp=sharingDoes anyone else have any favourites? (Note: I tried embedding the links but it messed up my original post as it got rid of everything past the first paragraph)

There's loads. I love the guitar part after the headbanging bit in The Millionaire Waltz (would love to get the multitracks of that), Freddie's vocal: "Too late, so, let the fire take our bodies this night, So late, let the waters take our guilt in the tide" in It's Late, the screaming guitar solo in Save Me, and although it's not actually Queen (or studio), I particularly love Brian's guitar solo on the live version of TMLWKY, on the CD single of Resurrection.

I love how 'dark' the guitar bits in Teo Torriate sound (around 2:30) , and also love the bass in the second verse/second part of the first verse (0:55-1:25). (I'd love to have the multi tracks/stems of this song) I'll also always love Freddie's small voice crack on the alternate take of It's Late (4:50). A small nice thing is just the fact that Who Needs You has the (main) vocals in the right channel only, don't know why it's just interesting and works well Another thing I like are bas(s)ically the whole bass and drum tracks of We Are The Champions. (now wouldn't it be awesome if we had the multi tracks ) Last thing I'll end off with is the intro to Robbery, an interesting idea to pause for a few drum fills like that, followed by some great guitar (I also like how the guitar also has some bass to it, unlike in The Hitman which in my opinion would have probably sounded nicer if it had more lower end to the guitar, it feels a bit 'empty' to me if that makes sense).

I love all of Breaktru but it may have my favorite launch-into-the-chorus moments at 2:35. Especially the guitar bits which really come alive in the surround mix.

The classic Innuendo solo too! Cheers Mr Howe! Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Brian play the bulk of the Spanish section, with Howe only contributing to the chromatic upwards run and the embellishments and melodies over the top of the chordal guitars?

For me, the acoustic solo in White Queen, right up to the counterpoint guitars which lead back into the vocal section. Pure bliss to listen to, sections like this really show how much of a genius Brian was (and is).

For me I think one of my favourites is the double time section at the end of SYW on the BBC sessions. Not because it’s technically special, or particularly beautiful or complex. Simply because of the vibe of unbridled joy at ensemble playing I get from it. I get a similar vibe from the Stealin’ ending too.

“When I hear thaaaaaat rock and roll! It gets down to my soul...”
The second and third verses of “Let Me In Your Heart Again.” Freddie was in fine voice!
Love the outro to Spread Your Wings BBC Session.
And my favourite....
“ My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies Fairy tales of yesterday, grow but never die I can fly, my friends”

Interesting that someone should cite "Rock It (Prime Jive)". I felt that song tries to take off but never really quite succeeds. Couple that with Coming Soon and I don't think Roger wrote well for The Game. Maybe his better songs are on Fun In Space in that period. A tiny bit later on Action This Day and Calling All Girls work well for me.

I always loved It's late especially the part of when Freddie sings It's late, but it's time to set me free... So late, let the waters take our guilt in the tide. The backing harmonies are great along with Freddie vocals.
2) Sail away sweet sister again when Freddie sings and have beautifully backing vocals
3) During the hero when Freddie sings over the backing vocals the line he save us with his mighty hand, he uses a beautiful falseto
4) I want it all during listen all you people, all the band sound great.
5) My fairy King from BBC session the part pf the line he rules the air. I find it magnificent.
6) The whole lily of the valley is a master piece
7) The Millionaire Waltz the rocking part come back to me and the great backing vocals lines bring out the charge of the love brigade... Till the end of the song

“ My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies Fairy tales of yesterday, grow but never die I can fly, my friends” I love the keyboard behind this bit too. Goes from the grim, dramatic marching strings to something a lot more hopeful:
