6 (9, 12?) amps lugged up to Mancheater for a mined appearance is a lot of effort. Even renting them locally is a reasonable investment (by trident)

I were searching in google and I've found this great shot from March 31, 1974 show in Rainbow. It's took me by surprise it's the first time I', seeing this pic I don't know I've never seen this through all of this years
Beauty.
Gettyimages has been updated in recent years - there's a lot worth checking out there. There are some phenomenal shots from LA 77 and Detroit 78.

Here are some great and sad info about the performance of Queen in Granada TV show in Manchester in December 19, 1974. the artist that performed that day included Mud, Abba, Queen, Bay City Rollers. sadly the event was filmed and broadcasted on December 25, 1974 according to TV Guide "Guardian". Queen performed "Killer Queen" at this show but Unfortunately the recording of that day does not existed in the Archives This some pics of Queen performance of "Killer Queen' First time I've seen these !
Here are a couple others:

Here's a 2020 pic of Koh Hasebe reunited with the band. Man, that's beautiful. Looks like he's about 90 now.

Boston 74. There are over a dozen photos of them walking around the city that day, not knowing their gig was about to be cancelled.

Renting a stack of AC30s even today is just a couple hundred dollars.

If you look closely at the pictures it appears that they are using their own back line. Brian's nine AC30's are on the stand he uses live so that each row is stepped back from the one below. The drum kit seems to match the drum sizes (depth)'of Rogers Ludwig kit at the time and JD back line seems to be his Acoustic Bass cabs and the three amps he was using st the time.
The cost of loading a van and sending three back line crew up to Manchester would have been covered by the possible performance TV fee and also been far out weighed by record sales generated by a live TV appearance over Christmas.

The man sure does know how to dress.

Rolls Royces while promoting SHA? Not sure about that, although it's clear from the Norman Sheffield book that they spent Trident money without obviously realising it had to be paid back before they got paid.

Bowie was on their roster in 74 too. They'd made a killing off him. He wanted out too. Queen weren't making it up.
They'd been in business for years, having The Beatles, Stones, Elton, Genesis, Supertramp, and countless others paying for blocks of studio time. No question they were loaded by then, unless they put it up their nose.

This is one the rarest pic I've ever find of Freddie. Surely taken during their fly to Australia in January 1974 for a show in Sunbury festival http://instagram.com/p/CBHCes2sXoi

Sometimes those pro photo websites are inaccurate with their dating. Especially with a band like Queen who wore the same outfits dozens of times, we'd need to dig a bit deeper to corroborate this one. Maybe this can help a bit. Getty Images credits this beautiful shot to Michael Putland, and describes it as November 1973. We know Freddie certainly wore this outfit at Leeds and at London Imperial College gig in November 73. He could also have worn it on other November dates, but I guess it rules out '74. Checking out photos from from queenlive.ca, my bet is this is from Leeds.

Good detective work, but there are still so many shows we don't have photographs of, so it's pretty well impossible to narrow it down to a single date without confirmation from the photographer.
We can't rule out 74, as Mercury is even seen wearing it in Japan 75:

Lots of pro photos of the band in California on this site: www.atlasicons.com/package-show/QUEEN/P0000Ugsf20GuUlgUnfortunately, most of them are low resolution and heavily watermarked. Here's a couple sample shots. Oakland 12/17/1977 Probably Inglewood 12/22/1977 as there are plenty of encore shots on the site, but it could also be Long Beach or San Diego.

Yes he also wore this outfit in USA 74 and 75 too probably from Denver college in April 16, 1974 in USA a gig in Dallas in March 22, 1975

Nice shot! it's so hard to comparing this pic to Leeds 73 because of the bad quality of the show and it's so hard to recognizing this pic to other shows with this outfit. he wore his black and white glove with this outfit with a hand without any glove but sometimes with his indian chain glove so it's very hard to recognize. could be from Sunbury Festival 74?

It’s a beauty, isn’t it? I agree with above, but it looks to me his hair is very much the same in Leeds and the background being all dark, whereas at Imperial colllege for example, the backdrop would probably be visible. And description says november 73. Of course we can’t be sure with all the other shows missing photos. Oh well, its just guesswork
